i have the worst kind of hair imaginable.. its a wavy curly mess.. not quity wavy and not quite curly, its just extremely out of control... i was thinking of a spiral perm or something of the sort.. who here got a perm and how did it turn out? is it worth it? would it give me great curls and stop the ongoing problems with my hair?

It is straight and pretty and don't scratch before you do the perm! Before you get a perm put vasoline around your scalp!

A sprial perm will be good because it will make the curls more uniform an cut down a lot of the frizz...just make sure you get it rolled on a larger rod....so it wont look fake and frizzy...if your hair is long use a peach or orange rod... right below the sholders use a purple...but never use smaller than a purple rod when doing a sprial perm....anything smaller i guarentee will be too tight...and it doesnt matter what state you are in...perm rods are the same everywhere

You describe the same kind of hair that I have. I used to go nuts with it.....my friend did a spiral perm and I love it. The curls are nice and I shampoo, condition and add a bit of mousse and it looks great.

Perms are awesopme for out of control hair like you described...just keep in mind..the larger the rod, the more natural it will look!! Good luck!

you at the instant are not looking after her hair properly. i understand organic hair is confusing to regulate yet do not push this decision on her on a similar time as she's so youthful. And basically for the reality you at the instant are not looking after it now, it would wreck much extra whilst it rather is permed. you may desire to moisturized and seal her hair on a daily basis. instruct your self on suited hair look after organic hair. i used to be on your place... And if all else fails then get her hair texturized and not thoroughly comfortable.

i got a bunch of perms when i was younger and it killed my hair.it took a couple of years for my hair to back to normal

i think it would help. just be sure to get in conditioned really good before and after.
