You're absolutely right...there's a great liberating feeling of being nude with others and being appreciated for your appearance. It's neither shallow nor demeaning, and it can make you feel really empowered and comfortable with your naked body. I love the nude beach and definitely appreciate the feeling of empowerment that I get walking naked along the beach while knowing that others are looking at me and appreciating me for my appearance.
(By the way, I'm not an empty-headed exhibitionist but a May 2006 college grad with a 3.8 GPA, starting grad school this week. I love my body and the way I look naked, but that doesn't detract from the other aspects of my self - the intellectual, cultural, social and interpersonal parts of me that have nothing to do with my bare skin.)
However...be very careful of posing nude for anyone, whether you know the person or not, and no matter how reputable he or she appears to be. Photographs are permanent, and they have a way of coming back to haunt you at the most inopportune times of your life. Unfortunately, our society is still intolerant of nudity, especially in women, and nude photos can be a real career killer for a girl. Plus, with the ability to alter photos electronically, an innocent nude photo could end up looking like a triple-X porn photo which bears no relationship to what you originally posed for.
Enjoy your nudity...just be certain that it's on your terms and under your control.
Good luck...and bare hugs!

In my opinion you should not pose nude more than once for the same photographer without being paid. If he is professional he won't mind you bringing a friend with you to the shoot, just for your peace of mind. Also there should be some sort of agreement about how the photos will be used. Do you want photographs of yourself nude showing up on the internet where everyone can see them? But I understand what you mean about the exciting part. I did the same thing while on college for a few extra bucks, posing for a drawing class. I arrived mid semster and it was the only on campus job I could find. I'm a guy and I didn't consider my body more than average and I was glad that the women in the class didn't gag or break into hysterical laughter like I was George Castanza coming out of the pool.

You would think with a 3.5 you would be smarter. You are being used .Those pics are his property if you have signed a model release. If you ever become a public figure or grow up you or your family may be embarrassed by them. You can get paid as a nude model at art schools or classes. You will get the same thrill you will be in drawings not photo's . You can pose and be immortalized on canvas. Be careful of photographers.

While it may be fun now when you are young, just remember you will have no control over what is done with the pics and where they go. When you are 35, a mom and married, do you really want all these men to have nude photos of you to with as they please? Be careful hun.

I had the same experience. I was posing for a buddy and then began posing nude. It was a very rewarding experience.

Make sure you get all photos and know where they go. Otherwise your nude body could wind up on the internet.
I swim topless all the time, and occasionally nude. Most of my friends and all of my family have seen me. But No one ever takes photos of me. That way when I get dressed, the show's over. But if someone has photos, I have no control over who sees me or when.
