It takes more than being a certain weight to be a model -- it also takes looks, height, poise, etc.

If you want to have a career goal, I'd choose something more realistic if I were you.

If you really want to get serious about this, the best thing to do is for your height (currently) you should be around 133-162 lbs. The thing is you don't want a high body fat percent when you're modeling. Most models (and I'm talking fitness models, not skinny, anorexic runway models) usually have a body fat % of around 8-10% when they are modeling and some even more between 15-18%. It's what works for you and keeps you healthy. I don't advise a person to stay below 18% body fat unless they are an athlete, but athletes also have their off season where they gain a little more body fat %. It's not healthy to stay below 18%. Hope this helps.

Don't get me wrong here modeling is a great job. Being anerexic can happen and is not good. Modeling is a hard job but if u wish to accomplish modeling loosing huge amounts of weight is unhealthy and noticeable. Not to mention not very attractive. Look at Tyra. She is HEALTHY and STONG. Not worrying about weight. I suggest don't focus on weight because your beautiful the way you are. Btw on americas next top model a contestant got sent home BC she was too skinny. In the modeling world they want a healthy and strong look and those who portray looking healthy stay in the business longer. Those who look too skinny r out much quicker.

Your text is almost impossible to read. If you really do have a 3.0, stop with the shortcuts and write words people can read.

Now, the issue with runway models is less about weight than it is about bone structure and total figure. The ideal runway model is not shaped like a normal woman (which is why most of us will never look like fashion models). They have wide shoulders, narrow hips and small busts; their faces are well defined with prominent cheekbones. Only 6% of the population are born with this body type, so if you don't match the description, weight is immaterial.

Now, if you do, you might consider trying for a career after you graduate, but be warned that it's HIGHLY competitive. If you don't, you might still qualify for modeling hands or feet. Not as glamourous but it's a living.

You probably weigh more than most models (and no that is NOT an insult by any means). Modeling is a hard career to get into. Why would you want a career where you have to be unrealistically skinny? I hope you have a back up plan *like a college degree*..

On second thought, you might have trouble getting that degree since you seem to have no grasp of English grammar and spelling. By 8th grade you should know how to spell...

It is not about how much you weigh, it is about how proportionate your weight is to your height. Athletic models can weigh as much as 50 pounds more than a fashion model of the same height and look just as good, but more muscular and defined.
