Have you ever read the book of Revelation? The Apostle John was in Heaven and he was alive.
Your soul is in the right place but your heart is not. There's something deep down inside of you that knows that God is real but your logic makes you deny. When you fully open your heart up, God will reveal himself to you.
Don't feel like you are all alone. Most Christians I know struggle with this as well, me included. I don't understand why God would send His only son who was completely perfect to die on a cross for me, a sinner, someone who disobeys God. I can't comprehend how much love He loves us. I can't even begin to think about how God has always been and will ever be. I don't get why He never had a beginning. Humans are taught that everything has a cause and effect and that God violates this law. But you also have to understand that no matter what you look at, no matter how far back in time you go, something came from nothing. There was something out there that has/had no cause. The 'super-atom' or whatever it was that started the 'big bang' to start the universe, where did that come from? Did you know that for 200 enzimes to come together and form a cell is a 1 in 10 to the 24,000th? That's 10 with 24,000 zeros behind it! Mathmaticians say that anything more than 1 in 10 with 50 zeros behind it is IMPOSSIBLE! And yet, we believe that a single cell was somehow formed with the correct structure and that it evolved into every animal and the human race. If that did happen, wouldn't you consider that a HUGE miracle and that something (or someone) was behind it? Believe it or not, science actually points to creation over evolution but the only thing you hear about is the evolution part.
I konw it's hard to understand God. I've been a Christian since I was 8 and I don't even understand Him. But that's the beautiful thing about God. That we have a chance to fully understand Him.
Go to a church (and I recommend a non-denominational church because denominations have a tendency of throwing traditions into the mix which can and will cause you to stumble) and open your heart. It might not happen the first time, it might not happen the tenth time, but don't stop going because it hasn't happened. The Bible tells us that if we seek Him, we will find Him. Just don't give up. You are almost there. :)

To believe or not to believe is a personal choice. I cannot force anything on you or anyone else. If you choose to reject the witness of the Holy Spirit, then that is your choice. You must live with that choice, however, and you must also die with it. Doesn't it make better sense to embrace Christ as your Lord and Savior, and to investigate the teachings of the Bible and receive spiritual guidance, rather than reject Christianity on a whim? Give this some more thought before making a final decision. Jesus loves you.

All the biblical evidence we had was written to people that witnessed all the things. So if there are wrong things written they would accept it. So that makes the gospels very, very acceptable for us. Just take a look they survived for how many years? Almost 2000 and you want to know why? Because it is the word of GOD, so man, John 20.29 read it.
We walk and live by faith.

St. Matthew 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. 7:8 For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. If you really want to believe like you say you do, and if you think brain damage will save you from eternal hell then it may be worth it . Otherwise Jesus has made it more simple for you, just believe, seek out his word and you will find the truth. God bless.

A good thing is happening to you. The whitewash on your brain is failing. Your begining to see daylight, and freewill. Use your brain, its telling you the truth. Stop trying to block out common sense.

You cannot come to believe something if you do not understand it or have no accurate knowledge about it.
If you are sincerely interested in learning the answers to your questions, pop into your local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. They have a accurate understanding of the Holy Scriptures and would be only too happy to help you. They would even conduct a free home bible study with you,if you so wished.

ha ha ha...Cute name.
My answer to you would be to stop torturing your self into believing in something that has no scientific proof or reasoning & find another, more productive religion to follow. One that is not riddled in intolerence & hypocrisy. Try Wicca or Buddhism.

Did you know that there are more original manuscripts of the gospels written closer to the actual events than manuscripts of classical writings like the Odyssey by Homer?
