Very chaotic...all over the place with representationalism enjoying a bit of revival, though it's not done the same as it was. Losts of movement away from paint to other new media, aka digital art, using photography as a base but not restricted to it...lots or "original" but really more of the same old. Very little in the way of truely fresh, and innovative....ignoring big advances in past mannerisms like collage, construction and performance. I just know something exciting will break out but when? As long as the Kincaid types are around, the general masses will never catch on to what art is.
