It never fails. Every time I make the point that the concept of Hell is monstrously unjust: No one deserfes infinite punishment since no one is infinitely evil-- God would be the worst fiend imagineable to send anyone to Hell-- Christian apologists give me the trite saying, 'God doesn't send anyone to Hell-- You send yourself when you reject him."

Give me a break! You can't get God off the hook that easily! The buck stops there!

Please address this idea, for once: If I "send myself to Hell", then how about I refuse to go? That okay with you? I don't want to go to Heaven (to spend eternity bowing before the Throne, singing "Alleluia") but Ihow about I don't go to Hell, either? How about you and your gord let me stay right where I am? Or at least terminate my existence utterly. Whar purpose does it serve to torment me forever? Is that God's idea of fun?

Your argument, in the main, is valid. Hell was designed by early man to control the people by fear. Early man was illiterate. Only the elite went to school. The common people could understand paintings. The elite dreamed up hell and had paintings made of their concept. The people saw them and rushed to the church to be saved by the only person who could save man. The self appointed priest.
The church proclaims GOD as a GOD of LOVE. The church is right. Then they turn around and proclaim GOD as a god of hate, torture and horrific thoughts and design. Notice they seldom preach the two concepts in the same sermon. Someone might catch them.
Imagine your earthly father, the guy you called dad, put a bowl of candy on the coffee table. He then told you of free will. He said you have free will. You can eat the candy or you can resist eating the candy. It is your choice through the use of your free will. Sounds nice--so far. However he says, if you eat any of the candy he will put you in the oven and bake you until the end of never. Did he give you free will? NO! Would your dad actually put you in the oven? NO! Are you saying your dad is a better man than your god? He's not better than my GOD.
Vaya con DIOS......the real one.

Does the truth make you uncomfortable? THe fact is, God gave us a free ticket out of Hell. His name was Jesus Christ. We should honor God because He created us. I cannot imagine wanting to be anywhere else. What is so great about this world that you would want to stay here? I look forward to a place with no death, disease, war, rape, etc.
