5 years. a woman's body doesn't properly recover for a long time and i heard this from a doctor it isn't healthy to have to many babies back to back it can damage you. that whole i will have as many God lets me is if you want to break some kind of record. but if you just want a another 2 years so the currant baby doesn't need your constant supervision and you don't burn yourself out

Ive got two boys one is 7 yrs and the other is 2 and half, i find it easier because the older one is at school and he can do a lot for himself and my other son is starting pre school soon so that will give me a bit of time to myself, i have found it easier there being a bit more of an age gap, i dont think i could of coped having them close together.

I got pregnant with my daughter a month after my son turned 18 months, and they are wonderful with one another. I am currently pregnant with my 3rd and my daughter turned 2 in March. But my question to you is 'what can't u cope with'? A big age gap or having them too close together? So to answer your question, I would say about 2 years.

There isnt one!
I have 3 younger siblings. Ages (me 28) 25, 21 and14 years old!
We are all close althogh the two eldest live away from home. I think its good that my siblings are different ages it doesnt affect us in any way.
I personally would leave a gap of at least 5 years.

It's up to you to decide. It really doesn't matter what the age gap. I had a brother 17 month younger than me and we argued all the time, my other brother is just over 5 year younger and i got on better with him. It's much better now we are all grown up. My children are 6 years apart (not through choice, we tried for 5 years)and i found that brilliant, much better than i had expected.

Sorry to do this to you but 3 years is a good age gap. However if you want to leave it longer then thats up to you, go with your own instincts rather than what other people say.

I would say 5 years so that the older kid can have a good time before the younger kid starts getting all the attention. I also think that because when he/she is 15 they can take their little sib out to do things.

If you can't cope, you shouldn't have another child. I'd say anything between 2 and 5 years is ideal, but that is just for me - you know the dynamics of your family. If you are in any doubt, don't have another baby tho.
