I think you will find that the British, although the conquered India, gave it a way of life far better than the life the citizens had enjoyed before. They got roads, education and a magnificent railway system. They also got, to a large extent, peace - enforced, of course, by British might, but peace nevertheless. The historical rivalry between Hindu and Muslim was controlled.
What happened in 1948 you seem to have forgotten. The Muslims and the Hindus massacred each other in their thousands. There have been several other subsequent wars and the Kashmir problem lingers on. It is only a few years since the threat of nuclear war between the two was a possibility.
Muslims (i.e. the Moors) conquered large parts of Europe in years gone by - that's how the world works. The most powerful countries control the weaker ones. Thus, a tiny - look at a map - country like Britain ruled the world for centuries. Military might, sure, but also business and engineering skills. We are still the third greatest economy and manufacturing country in the world.
And, of course, the citizens of the USA were ruled by us until they kicked us out; history seems to record that we were glad to go. Then they fought themselves - and still do. It must be one of the most divided nations on earth.

No some of us Brits myself included think its terrible what our government did to your family all those years ago. I am so very genuinely sorry that your family suffered. I was not alive but all human suffering is terrible.
The British did this all over the world and we are hated by many for it. I can t make upto you whats happened in the past. I can only say lets respect each other and accept although we are different we are all Gods children. Lets try to share our world. Give each other some slack.
I am a Londoner and I have met some very aggressive Muslims, some very kindly ones and ones who have spat at young christian children on a school trip to a Mosque. Hate breeds hate. 9/11 bred hate, the crusades (which as a christian I can say were a despicable act but at the time we were burning our own at the stake and still hung, drew and quartered humans!) Lets stop the madness! All of us!
I am no expert but Gandi was! I admire him deeply for looking forwards not back and showing a mighty nation that a poor man has tremendous power. That man beat us without so much as raising his hand. His strengh was his compassion. People who murder are not to be admired! Not British, not Muslim!
Nor of any race or religion. But men and women of peace are!

I don't judge all muslims, I just dislike the muslims that resort to terrorism. I'm British and not proud of some parts of our past, but I am respectful of other people's views and religions. Most Muslims are nice people. I've known a few in the past. I have no toleration of the extreme Muslims, who see their religion as an excuse to kill "infidels"
If you're going down that path, what about the Spanish Inquisition? They tortured and killed anyone who was heretic ie not Catholic.
You're not still blaming the spanish for the wrongs in the world. Why always pick on the British?

People are judging muslims because a minority of fanatics are using all means available to kill and maim innocent civilians. They don't care about the suffering being caused and it is happening here and now...
Britain like other countries around the world have histories that they are not altogether proud of but they have learnt from it and moved on, You obviously haven't and if people didn't care about what happened in india all those years ago then nothing would have changed and it has.
The terrorists that are killing people now do it in the name of islam claiming they are fighting the decadent west. Muslims all over the world cheered when people were killed by them and then claim we are picking on them.
You say that you do not judge us as you are doing. but if we judge the minority that are killing now we are wrong. how twisted is that....

You seem to be making a generalisation there (you lot) but for starters that is incorrect, not all of us, British or otherwise, blame all Muslims. We blame those that are instigating & carrying out the murders.
You are correct about the British committing atrocities but that does not make it right for Muslims or anyone else to commit acts of murder regardless of creed or colour of the attacker or the victims.
Look back in many countries or religions history & I am sure you will find something terrible.

The introduction? Yeah, Painter guy and some others. Marmalade had a pair fantastic songs. a collection referred to as Honeybus does a eye-catching music referred to as "I Cant allow Maggie pass" it really is actual up there with some thing the Beatles did (nicely, basically about) Allen value left The Animals to kind his own Allen value Set and allow out some, notwithstanding pretentious songs. And even with the reality that they don't seem in the catagory of 'unknowns', The Zombies have a good (al beit small) library of concepts blowing music. I cant praise their "Oddessy and Oracle" sufficient. Its the single with "Time Of The Season" and had a lengthy years journey into hitland. that is basically about on par with "Sgt Pepper" and not in any respect only a immitation knock off that each and every band in the international replaced into doing in 'sixty seven, 'sixty 8. I pretty recommend that album.

Funny that. An indian friend of mine commented once that india went 50 years backward when the British left.
nobody ever said that injustices never occur in empires but the whole balance has to be looked at. In their time, both the Roman and British Empires did more good than harm. When it was realised that harm was occuring, efforts were generally made to try to minimise the harm and prevent its recurrence.
In other words, there was no deliberate intent to do harm. Contrast that with the mohommedans whose aim is merely to kill for the fun of it and because their bloodthirsty book the koran demands it of the retards who believe it.

Bring answer from the past. Not complains why people juge and shout at each other. We need understanding, forgiveness, solution, compromise... You know the answer. English forces moved out from India and then horror has ended. We need the same in the present. Everyone should live in peace among borders of his country, not threaten by others and not threatening others. Because we cant live in peace together we should keep ourselfs out from each other. God gives us world but... do we deserve? So much violence, proud, hatred, weapons, greed, cowards killing weaken and innocent. We have thousends of history and what we have learned? Gods Wisdom in people of good will and strong faith in good from God. Open eyes on your own evil and fight with it in eternal war, never let it guide you or you will bring dark light of false wisdom into hearts of innocent. Mrok (Gloom)

You only have your grandmothers stories as proof, although I dont doubt some attrocities did occur, just remember there are a lot of indian people living here in rent free accomodation, claiming untold benifits, going through an english education, have free treatment in english hospitals, and have been for decades. we havent turned our back on the people of india, most of whom are good people, just a few with nothing better to do than ask stupid questions because they have a chip on thier shoulder, plus not all indians are moslems, there are Hindu's seik's, christians, ect.
