Great recipe! Granny Smith apples are very popular for pies. A little tart, very sweet and juicy. Go for it!

Grannysmith apples are a medium sized apple thats light green in colour that have kinda of tart taste to them compared to a sweeter apple such as a golden delicose. I think granny smiths make the best apple pie. It's an ok recipe but theres better out there. Try www.ichef.com and rember the more sugar the better.

Yes, that recipie will work. You will find there are as many pie recipies as there are bakers, but thats part of the fun. Granny Smith apples are the big green ones with firm crisp flesh. They're a little bit tart, which makes them good for pie. Good luck on your pie!
