I took the motor out and it looks clean, plenty of carbon left on the brushes, i noticed there is a sort of capacitor and heat sink thermal cut out on the side, so any of you guys have any ideas? or is it a replace motor job?

ps. new filters were added and the dust bin was cleaned so no blockages and fan is ok.

It could be overheating for some reason, lots of electrical things do that when too hot.

Have you checked the filter? I would give it a wash and let it dry thoroughly before replacing it and trying the hoover again. Mine started cutting out when we had had some plastering done and when I checked the filter it was clogged up with plaster dust!

It's because of the crap filters cutting out the air circulation or fluff
blocking the the inlet next to the brush.
When you get fed up changing the filters and unblocking the obstruction , chuck the crap machine out and buy a good old HOOVER.

we had 1 for 7 years it was great just started to brake at the handle other wise it was great so we got a new 1

Your fan might be broken on your dyson so its overheating and it cuts out so it dosent explode

I have had two Dysons and they both broke down through one thing or another - I will never buy one again! If you are in the UK you can buy a 'Henry' - believe me it is the best vaccum cleaner.

it is a power save thing, in much the same way as if you leave yor computer alone, it turns the screen off for you, anyway who has the hoover on for 15 minutes, unless they were doing something naughty with it....well?
