I'm going to school to do hair and makeup this year, since I was young I have always enjoyed doing hair and make up. Recently I went to sallys and bought the glue in hair extensions, I put them in so I could have a mullet. Nobody seemed to have a problem with it but my dad.
everytime I come home from hanging out at a friends, or work he always has a new but negative comment about my mullet. He says "mullets were from 1986, not 2006" he says its hideous, or I look like lydia from beetlejuice, and it looks stupid.
my point is, how bad does it look in your opinion?

I think it looks great. For some people a mullet is actually right for their facial shape. You remind me of a young Joan Jet and the jagged mullet works well on you. Going to school to do hair and makeup means that you are likely to change your hair often and be able to try several styles but if the mullet is flattering you will tend to go back to it regardless if it is in style or not because it is in style for someone who looks good with one.

Well you dad is right about the mullet being from the mid-eighties but I don't think that it is that horrible. If my memory serves me correctly, some of the styles from the 80's are making a come back, so live a little and have fun.
You can't always live your life seeking approval from everyone, because it will never happen. Just live your life, be happy and be confident in your choices. You and your folks may not always see eye to eye, but they love you no matter what.

It looks like the typical "scene kid" mullet. I see people with them all the time. Personally, I don't care for them. But if you like it then keep rockin it and don't listen to your dad. It's your hair not his. Tell him that he is entitled to his opinion and he has made it known, so stop trying to make you feel bad about your decision. If you like it that's all that matters; it's just hair. Parents will not always understand your style.

i have been given an similar component, my head sounds like a mushroom. i reported i wanted a joan jett mullet quite they gave me a micheale angelo one. my maximum acceptable suggestion i dont imagine they could fix it anymore in view that they already tangled up the first time. what im doing is that im getting a razor comb and thining my hair with it. mullets arent that undesirable in case you spot the way some human beings kind it .

Mullets on men are pretty sad, but on an attractive young lady like you, it looks great.

No it doesn't look bad. Just ignore Dad's rude comments. He just is realizing that you are growing up & it is scaring H---- out of him. He's still trying to exert controll. He'll get over it. I'm not saying to be rude to him...never, just try to overlook his comments about your hair.
