Well I would be very upset. If the relationship was good and I did not feel that anything was wrong or we were not having problems, I would be very shocked, hurt and upset. But if we were having problems, not communicating or had other issues going on. Or simply not in love, then it might not be as much a surprise. I still think if someone in the relationship asks for a divorce, reasons should be given as to why they want a divorce.

Depends I guess on the situation. If it's out of the blue than I'd wonder why a divorce, but if he wanted it than so be it. I'd give it to him especially if no children are involved.
When the time comes sooner or later he'll tell me why. If it's over something stupid than I'd happy as hell I agreed to it, because why would you want to stay with someone who'd go that far over something stupid, but if it wasn't over something stupid I would still be happy because it also shows he didn't have enough balls to talk it out with me. I would rather want someone who's willing to discuss differences, than remain quiet and go as far as a divorce.

I would be extremely taken aback,in shock_if I cared for him, then angry,to be so dismissively discarded, and would torment him till he told the truth.By then,I would get over my hurt, the anger would seem baseless,I would then push him aside & leave him gladly_knowing fully well that with my new found independence,I can rock and rule the world...it would take time, but if my man can be so brutal,I'm gonna kill him with kindness or with sheer indifference ...I

I'd give him the divorce. I don't need a reason.

I think after you marry someone you owe them an explanantion when you decide not to uphold the vows you made to that person.
