I don’t know about them at all, but while I asked my friend that I want to change my religion from Buddhist to Islam she said there are 2 sections, Sony and Shitty.
Don’t know what to do?
In my opinion, Sony sounds better because here in Japan we have a big company named Sony.
But shitty sounds like Shittt so sorry ,, but I have to say I do not like this name.

You dont have to be either, all sectionalisations where done by people reason best known to them. if you are serious about converting you have 2 guides Quran and hadith. The prophet of islam Muhammad (pbuh) did not teach muslim about segregation. A muslim is a brother to another muslim.

.My advice is Don't take an opinion from any Muslim or non Muslim each one will say that they are better. Non of them know their religion. What you have to do is to read the Quran & Sunnah anf follow this teachings. Once you taste the fruit of Tawheed you will know that you are on the right path. This means that you pray to Allah without a barrier, your prayer is carried to him without a carrier in the middle. You don't have to sacrifice yourself, monet or kill your chilren for your prayers to be answered, you don't have to pay a lump sum amount so that you prayers are accepted. Then you will feel It is you and him only. You can pray whenever you want, whatever you want. No body has the right to tell you what to do except him your Lord. You will reach a peace of mind and soul. You will find answers to all your questions. You will not have any further questions.
Therefore, I advise you to study the Quran & Sunnah before converting to Islam. don't convert base on a muslim's life. The one who said that there is Shia and Sunnah should go back to Qurran & Sunnah the main two sources of Islam and learn it throughly.

its pronounced sunni and shi'ite. if your friend pronounced them sony and shitty, either she does not know what they are called, or she is mocking them. and there is a third sect of islam known as the kurds. but if you do not know much about islam, i suggest you do some research before deciding to convert in the first place.

Sunni means the way of the prophet. It is the original and first sect
Shi'ite means the follower of Ali.
i would say Sunni, besides, the majority are Sunnis
