Black english is normal part of black culture dialect. Studies prove that ALL people of different dialects in America will think less of someone with a dialect other than their own...such as 'they are stupid'. This is fact. In it normal to think this way. Also fact is that people with dialects MUST learn to speak English with little of no dialect at all to become an efficient communicator within the world we live. A white Texan woman with dialect presenting at a business meeting, will be looked down upon and probably lose her audienceand not acheive her goal because of her dialect/accent. To excel in life one must be able to speak the language appropriate to the setting. Therefore, speaking what some would call 'ghetto trash' is not speaking ghetto trash at all when one is within their own culture...but sounds stupid to someone outside their own culture. In modern day America we all must have a 'business language' / 'culturally accepted language' that we can use appropriatly within the circles we choose to be in, because it is normal human nature to be perceived by other persons as 'stupid' even tho we may not be. It is on the other hand ignorance and stupidity to not use the language/dialect most often that will assist you in acheiving your personal life goals. Leave the cultural dialects behind to use only at the appropriate time. There is no right or wrong when it comes to American dialects...it is just a reality and a individual choice on how we will be perceived by others... whichever dialect we are accustomed to speaking in. In addition smart is being able to adapt to the world realities we live in and not to be angry about our differences. Be flexable. It is ok... and work at succeeding in life.

when you are that type of talk, you tend to pick it up along the way. there are times and places for it. but if you go to a ghetto neighborhood and call somebody called them an uneducated idiot be prepared to run or get your behind kicked.

African American Vernacular English (AAVE), also called African American English, Black English, Black Vernacular, or Black English Vernacular (BEV), is a type variety (dialect, ethnolect and sociolect) of the American English language. It is known colloquially as Ebonics (a portmanteau of "ebony" and "phonics"). With pronunciation that in some respects is common to Southern American English, the variety is spoken by many blacks in the United States. AAVE shares many characteristics with various Creole English dialects spoken by blacks in much of the world. AAVE also has pronunciation, grammatical structures, and vocabulary in common with various West African languages.

There are some who think it makes them look big, different, or just to make others mad. They do not realize that most of the country thinks of them as low as they can, and profile them with trash, gangs, rapist, whores, etc.
HOWEVER, as much as I HATE it too, it is a free country and if they choose to degrade themselves, they have that right. Besides, in our youth, we did pretty much the same thing "Dude"

Rock on!
