Depends on your defination of the word idol.
In a way, yes they do. In a way, no they don't.
If you define "idol" as the belief that an object is a deity then the answer is no (not even Hindus and Buddhists believe this...it's just an object, God is beyond the object).
If you define "idol" as the making of an image or symbol to use in worship then the answer is yes, all religions use some sort of symbol or image as a focal point for their worship.

LoL... religion is a comfort barrier so someone feels like there is someone one out there that actually cares about them. I agree that in some way or form every religion worships an idol, even if its purifying your soul. That may be God, Jesus, and the Holy Ghost. This is crazy for people to think this way... what did the cave men idolize?? FIRE you know why?? cause it kept them alive. Now how does god or jesus keep us alive??

scared of death,
It's true that idolatry is a sin in Christianity. But the way MANY churches get around that is; just don't call it an idol!
I've seen idols in Roman Catholic Churches ( all of them that I've been to), I've seen them in Lutheran Churches. In those churches they have statues that are used in worship, especially in the form of worship called prayer.

Jehovah's Witnesses do not use idols in worship or venerate the nation they were born in or salute the flag. They worship only the true God, Jehovah through his son, Jesus Christ.

They worship the gods they create including the religions they create. They also worship themselves. Believe in God who is Jesus and you will not have to worry about our punishment of death because Jesus already took care of death by taking the punishment of death including hell.
