any ideas on how far to ride or how long to ride for it to make a difference in weight lose?

you could loose the weight, but the most important fundemental key part to losing weight is to tone and stregthen those muscle afterwards, or you'll just have saggy skin and not toned muscles. As for time and how long.. it all depends on you... I started out slow and steady for 10 minutes, speed up so your heart races for about 10 and slow down and enjoy the rest of the workout until you had enough. And remember your supposed to replace that sweat with double the amount of water!! SO DRINK DRINK DRINK!! LoL... I hope this helps!!

You could always get a real bike and venture outside. You won't be wasting brain power counting calories because you will be too busy being inspired and testing your resolve to peddle up the next hill. Life is saccharin enough, go and taste some real sugar...

Yes of course, any type of excercise can lose weight....If you sweat then you know your losing weight...Start off slow maybe 15 mins then gradually move up..20 mins.. then 30 mins....As long as you feel comfortable ...but make sure you drink alot of water..the more water you drink , the more you will sweat..

use the freezer to add some extra oomph to summer foods freeze grapes for some bite sized delights or get a popsicle mold and freeze some greek yogurt with berries
