Try any other kind of greasy substance. Do you have any crisco? Or butter? If so use 1/3 cup. If not then use a 1/2 cup of peanut butter. Enjoy!

Olive oil has too strong a flavor to be put in brownies. I would imagine that your vegetable oil is probably ok. You could also melt the equivalent amount of butter or margerine and use that; 1 stick = 1/2 cup of oil. I always use real butter in my brownies, and they taste a LOT better, even if it does mean that I have to go easy because of the cholesterol!

RE:
Substitute for vegetable oil when making brownies?
I don't have any vegetable oil left in my house!
I already put the eggs and water in the brownie mix, does anyone know what I can use as a sub for the oil?!?!

Both are good for you, each fruit/vegetable has different vitamins. Therefore as more variety, as better. Vegetables have generally less sugar than fruits.
