I'm getting sick and tired of these religious plates! Jesus saves, Praise him, IWRSHPHIM, and so on. If you're a christian, there's nothing wrong with wanting a religious message on your plates; I, however AM NOT a christian, so why can't I get what I want on MY plates? Isn't that discrimination?

spamandham: YES they really rejected it at the main DMV on W. Broad St. in Richmond, Virginia. They suck!

Yeslekmis: you just don't get it, do you? That's ok, I love ya anyway. Why don't christians just get their message on a t-shirt? Why do we all have to read their religious propaganda plates! Everybody should be able to get what they want. It's just another example of how christians control EVERYTHING. You don't know me, so don't try to judge me. My self respect? C'mon man, you can do better than that! At least I have the guts admit my wrongdoings out loud!

yeslekmis: guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. You did make some good points, though. Thanks for answering. Perhaps I'll get it tatooed, on my forehead! lol

Maybe because they take a little more pride in the plates they make than you do in yourself.

I don't suppose it matters what I have or haven't done. I don't want to advertise it to the world on a set of license plates. People usually get "labels" from others. I don't know what it could be called if one puts it upon themselves.
If they won't do it for you on a license plate, maybe you could go the t-shirt route.

Admitting your wrong-doings is a great step, now try the ask for forgiveness part.
Boy what a world if everyone could have everything the way they wanted it, possible never, but one learns to "cut out" the crap they don't like, and concentrate on what is important to them. I wish the worst thing in the world to concern oneself with was a Christian license plate!!
Oh yeah..and we do have the t-shirts too.

I think you should thank the DMV cos I think they are trying to keep you alive. There are a lot of intolerance out there and, based on some people's past and orientation, they will kill or cause chaos for no good reason. U could just get shot for just stiking up that plate so be thankful for that law. It is a free country we live in but certain limits have to be set for our own protection.

Did they really reject that, or are you just making this up? Why not write them a nasty letter saying that fornication is part of your religion and they are violating your first amendment rights by prohibiting your license plate while allowing other religious license plates?

I hear ya, but do you really want to drive around with that particular message? You and some others might get it, but as DMV proved, many won't.

The plate is the property of the state, therefore they make the rules. Just as you and I do with our property

Some places don't allow mixed numbers and letters. Contact the DMV and ask how much it will cost.
