Divorce comes before Marriage in dictionary.
In real life also, there is a scenario where divorce comes before marriage. If you are in a monogamous society, and you are married, and you want to marry again....you will have to obtain divorce (of previous wife) before marriage (with the other woman).

A divorce definitely comes before the second marriage. Because unless you divorce your current spouse, you can't possibly remarry (except in Islamic countries where four wives at the same time allowed)

In a culture and society, where marriage is only a farce, divorce will either precede or follow marriage. You simply walk out on your partner, whether you are married or not and that act is as good or as bad as divorce.
