Trinity Broadcasting Network, has $341,000,000.00 in cash and investments on hand. According to:
http://www.ministrywatch.com/ .

This nonpartisan ministry watchdog group has placed a warning about donating to this haven for multimillionire televangelists. TBN have begged so much that Jan Crouch, in a widely distrubuted, and very disturbing internet video, asked for GRANDMOTHERS TO SEND TBN THEIR GROCERY MONEY. It's on YouTube.com

With $341,000,000.00 cash and investments...will you be giving to TBN during their next beg-a-thon?

PS-I give to my church, and those in need. I don't believe in subsidizing multimillionaires with 341 million dollars!

I'm bashing their theology, though it's flawed. I'm making a point about subsidizing a company that makes millions alone off of investments already...before you give.

Wow, I love TBN but didn't know all of this. I don't send my money to anyone or to any place other then my church and like urself, to those in need. I was watching Feed the Children and felt so bad that I wanted to send money and someone made a comment to me.........Why send ur money over there when we have starving people right here in the U.S.A? I don't know if I totally agree with that. We have welfare that cares for the poor and not so poor and places like Africa have nothing except people here to help care for them. What would you do??

That's why it's good to be informed about where your money goes, and choose wisely. There are some televangelists who use money donated wisely, but there are also a lot who abuse the privilege given them, and live lifestyles that are definitely beyond what they should be living. Likewise, there is a lot of good programming on TBN, but you don't have to give to every one of them. That really is a lot of money, but we also have to realize that it takes money to make money. It's like the scholarship fund that we have in our church. There's more money in it than is actually used each year, but you have to deep enough in it for growth, and to sustain it when there aren't enough donations coming in to keep enough in it to use. I see theirs the same way, just on a much larger scale.

You are absolutely right, anthonyinkc I agree wit you 150 percent, it is a horrible thing that they are doing to poor elderly people. It should be against the law, what they are doing to these people, but I guess there is not a blame thing we can do about it. I just know the Lord will take care of them all some day. They are stealing from poor widows and unlearned people. I think a lot of these people are just blinded to the truth. If they truly knew they way of truth, they would not give their money to these thief's.

Thou shall not judge so you wondt be judge yourself. Let them be if they are bunch of con artist then let God deal with them as for you continue to give even to TBN because God sees your heart that when you give you give cheerfully, if TBN would use the money otherwise then let the judgement be on them try not to be hasty in judging them what if you are wrong then my brother?

I am with you there. I love the Lord and I give to my church also but it is flat out wrong the way these people behave. I am sure that sooner or later they will be exposed. Its very sad because alot of people with terminal illness that can't get out like to tune in for comfort and are being scammed into thinking the will be healed if they send in more $$$--praise the Lord that He reads hearts and not actions!

you are right brother! i gave to them in 1997 after being unemployed and stressed for 3 weeks. it was the worst investment of my life. like the old saying goes a fool and his money are soon parted! i was listening to them during one of their begathons and decided it was God wanted me to do. I thought i would be blessed for planting my seed in good ground. ha ha ha shortly after i needed this same money i gave away. I lost my job,my wife and had to sell my car shortly after i gave my offering. I then came to my senses and realized the stupidity me and millions of others make by giving our little we have to rich people because they convince us its what God wants us to do so he could bless us. I am happy to say i have never been so decieved again! fool me once shame on you, fool me twice and shame on me!

anthonyinkc,
I think so too. It's the nutcases that get on that channel that I have problems with. I don't think that God likes what is going on there. Not a good place to get to know the truth.

Religion is the worlds oldest con game. The promise of eternal salvation is for suckers -- and as I like to say, "There's a sucker Born Again every minute".
