I like this guy in my circle. We have known each other for about five years from grad school. I need help on how (and whether) I should approach him. We both are very busy with our jobs and so far I have only been able to hang out occasionally with him in groups. There has been some indication that he may be warm to the idea, but because we have mutual friends I don't want to risk making things awkward. Unfortunately we don't have a phone rapport yet- - just email and phone txt. (I am not all that good on the phone about this stuff either) . Can you give me some suggestions as to how I can let him know that I am interested without losing face and appearing desperate.

just remember that this is really very simple. all you have to do is tell him. maybe when you are out with the group of friends ask him if he would like to do something, just you and him? OR if you don't feel comfy in front of all the friends call him and talk to him then. there is no way to guarantee that when you call him it will be smooth sailing, but i'm sure he won't mind. if you never try it how will you know? good luck and remember that its only as complicated as you make it!

In my situation, I told the girl I liked her and all that crap after about 3 years of friendship. Now she's gone. Doesn't pick up my calls, avoids me when I see her around. I just leave it though. Don't want to be a stalker and all even though it kills me every single day. Telling her was the biggest regret of my life, because she was the best girl friend I had.
So don't do the same mistake I did.

just act as if ur goin out wit friends, but the friends arn't going to be there. ask him if he would like to see a movie. if u think that it isnt goin the right way, then hey ur mates seeing a movie. if it is going the right way then let him know how u feel wit a kiss.
