I don't see why not. As long as it is packaged good it can go in the cargo hold. As long as you don't go over the weight restriction of 45 pounds, this along with your suitcase. May be best to ship it ahead. You may have crumbs when you arrive at your destination. Have you ever seen those baggage handlers at work?

Yes you can check that as baggage.. the only things is that you better packed very well if you want it to arrive at your destination whole instead of pieces... Also the airline is not going to be responsible for the items because once you informed them of what it is and they put that "handle with care" or "fragile" tag you'll probably be asked to sign a release 'cause carriers do not hold themselves responsible for fragile or high value items checked as luggage.

Sure! Just pack carefully as it will be treated as any other checked baggage and tossed around mercilessly in transit.

It's hard to say. You may no longer take any liquids on board a plane...no gatorade, no toothpaste, not even liquid medication.
(This has been passed as a politically correct way to avoid racial profiling.)

Some moron may decide that you can't take cookies, either.

It should not be checked by passengers. But security personnel must have to check (and taste) them properly before you on board.
