Am eating sensibly but have completely cut out my usual 3/4 bars of chocolate per day

deffo chocolate puts you on a high, so if you suddenly don't eat it you will have caffeine withdrawal symptoms

Congrats on cutting back on the unhealthy stuff!

However, yes it is likely the reason you're having these headaches. Chocolate contains surprising amounts of caffeine, and suddenly cutting that out will do exactly that to you ... you are quitting "cold turkey style" as caffeine does build a form of dependency after much use. It'll be unpleasant for a while, but eventually you should feel even better than before for having quit!

Should you want to make it a little more bearable you can always drink a cup of tea or something similar with caffeine (try to avoid things like soda or energy drinks which will have too much, and NO coffee!). I'd recomend a white or green tea as they tend to have a reasonable amount of caffeine without being on par with a cola.

ps. Just to point it out, your chocolate adds up to about 200mg of caffeine (assuming it's dark chocolate). Most caffeine pills are only in 100mg doses.

Yes. Your body is simply trying to adjust to this new lifestyle you're on. Caffeine (in the chocs) withdrawal can also cause headaches. Try taking natural remedies such as chamomile and green teas to help you relax and to purge out the toxins. Persist in your new sensible eating, and gradually, the headaches will go away, and you'll be feeling much more energetic than before. however, do give yourself a treat once a week. It's important not to cut out your favourite foods entirely, as you'd only end up bingeing in the end. Try giving yourself a single serving of a favourite food once a week as a way of rewarding yourself for having done a good job the entire week instead.

Yes, chocolate has caffeine in it. Stopping caffeine can cause a migraine type headache.

I developed an allergy to caffeine when my medication was changed. I had a headache for 2 to 3 days after stopping my morning coffee in order the avoid the effects caffeine was having on me with the new medication.

Could be. Stop eating chocolate for a week or so and see if the headache goes away. Chocolate can cause headaches in some people.

You don’t need to exercise for hours on end. Short, sharp sets of exercise will produce better results should you work hard. Get a omitting rope, skip for two units, do push ups for one minute, skip for two minutes, rest first minute. Then change the push up to something else like sit ups and do the set again. Repeat it five times and it’s a simple, effective workout that will get better results than a long operate or swim.

Absolutely - chocolate contains caffeine and it sounds like you have caffeine withdrawal.

Try a can of Diet Coke/Coke Zero.

The reason you are getting the headaches is because you are lacking vitamins becouse of the diet, you will need to take multivitamins and drink lots of water this well stop the headaches and you will fill a lot better and have more energy.
