Strictly speaking, it didn't happen. You can call Sunday "the Lord's Day" if you wish, but it's NOT the Sabbath. The Sabbath was and always will be SATURDAY.

The Sabbath was part of the Mosiac Law that was given to the ancient nation of Israel.Christ's sacrifical death instituted a new covenant and replaced the Law Covenant.
Christians today are not under the Mosiac Law and as such are not under the Sabbath.True Christians today take time to worship God every day.

The Sabbath was made for man, whether you observe it from Friday sundown to Saturday sundown, or on Sunday. God was just giving man a day of rest. We all deserve a day of rest in which no works are done.

I think that.........if you "have" to work on the Saturday or Sunday for that matter, that your sabbath should be at least one day in the week to study or go to your church. Your relationship with God is already know by your actions in your heart. It wouldn't matter what day you pick........as long as your heart is pure and God knows your true intentions.
Everyday you live should be a day that God made, If he made Wednesday your "religious day" then that's what he wants for you. Remember, people look at your actions not the day you attend church.

A lot of people are misguided. Saturday is the Sabbath. Jesus, even kept Sabbath AFTER he died. It was the Pope that changed it. Does that tell you something.

It makes no sense. God rested on the seventh day of creation, so it would be logical to rest on the seventh day of the week.
According to the next answer, Tinkerbelle's, the change never happened. However, Christianity came from Judaism. (The Jews, by the way, invented the 7-day week.) Still today, Jews pray on Saturday, like they have for thousands of years. Tinkerbelle's analysis has no merit to it.

it is confusing,my brother is a seventh day Adventist.from what I understand it was changed by the catholic church, and I'm not stepping on any ones toes on purpose, but on the calendar it has sun the first day, and sat the last day,Also i don't think anyone has the right to change the sabbath day except the one who created it,but God wants us to worship him all the days, so I am kinda lost

Human intervention in God initial rules.
This is just to follow the pagan Constantine special day.
Same as the date of 25 dec and easter celebration, both follows pagan day and rituals.

Works for me. You can thank us Catholics for that.
If all these people don't like Sunday worship, then why do you? Start worshipping on Saturday then!! It's hypocritical to say one and do another!
