No your just smarter than the average bear, though I believe we learn from our mistakes, the bigger they are the less likely we will be to forget them or their consequences.

We do choose more effective training because are you the single spanking or the single getting spanked? in the first case, you're the single giving the spanking there are ideas to make it a ways a lot less painful or no longer painful in any respect, there are this belongings you'll get they're rainsticks or clappers, or similar. What all of them have in elementary is they're hollow interior and make a huge noise even as they hit, yet because they're so mild they infrequently sting in any respect. notwithstanding, you're giving the spanking and that is making noise so the little ones regularly imagine that is worse than that is. My honestly suggestion, which will really annoy many non-spanking human beings or maybe the spanking human beings (cos they are going to experience that is too namby pamby) is this technique, spank very very gently yet for an rather very lengthy time period, use such issues as a flyswatter that provide actually a sting, and keep that sting going for 20 minutes. Doing it gently for a lengthy time period signifies that at no element does some thing more effective than a sting advance and that is totally stressful for the toddler to should be there, so that they lose interest and that is really truly a good punishment decision. Now, if that is you being spanked, positioned on 3 layers of knickers and desire for the basically right...

perhaps you have experienced a learning from previous happenings, so that is why it does not hurt as much. Over time, You become resiliant or tougher to challenges life throws your way. I wouldn's say the most painful would be the deepest. A death is painful, often time there is not much to learn about it. Just how to overcome the grief. But you can also learn from simple experiences such as a problem with co-workers, neighbors etc which can be just as valuable.

Good question. I have experienced some of my deepest pain of late, yes I will certainly learn from it....the person who hurt me...I don't know that they will ever learn and will go on to hurt others....that saddens me! The positives are that my painful experiences can be shared to help and encourage others in the same situation!

Sometimes it's the most painful and hardest experiences that give us the biggest lessons, but that doesn't mean that hurting is the only way we could learn our lessons. We can learn from the experiences of people around us, and sometimes, just watching people teaches you a lot of things. It all depends on the person, because all of us have different learning capabilities. Some people learn their lessons one way, others learn it the other way.

To answer your question, no. We don't learn less just because we hurt less.

Linking pain with learning is an exclusive characteristic of human beings.

Please know this, Human Beings are not the only conscious beings in this vast Universe. And Pain is NOT a prerequisite to Learning!

Have fun but be safe.

Not for me. I've learned the most from the positive experiences in my life. I've suffered many things, but I didn't learn a whole lot from them. We rationalize, or tell ourselves that we suffer 'for a reason' and creating this reason of 'learning' is simply a way of trying to justify the pain.

Nice try, but try to minimize your painful learning by suffering, and maximize your pleasant learning by positive experiences.

That is so true. But, sometimes we forget it's a learning experience and take it for what it is...pain.

I suspect this is an oblique attempt at theodicy.

If that theory is true, maybe they should have whipped me during algebra class, and given me electric shocks for wrong answers. I'd have been a Math Whiz today.
