being a devout church lady has cost me many relationships with the opposite sex. so, since i have this great relationship with god, dont you think it would be alright to endulge in the pocket rocket from time to time, so i do not fall prey to the clutches of.....SATAN???

Church lady, Don't deceive yourself. You are not going to Heaven because you are so righteous and never commit a sin, be it a lie, a desire for sex, lust or what ever; you are going to Heaven because He forgave you all your sins including those which you are going to commit in the future. I don't believe there is a man or a lady on Earth that can stand innocent before God and prevent his/her old nature, the sin nature we inherited from Adam to be a sin-proof except when the Holy Spirit is totally embracing you and in control of your heart in its entirety; you cannot live without a sin. So you are questioning us if it is alright to sin a little from time to time so as not to be a prey to the clutches of Satan? What you are truly saying, Can I be a prey to the clutches of Satan from time to time and still be devout ed to God? As far as going to Heaven, let me assure you that you are going to Heaven. But as far as your heart diverting to the left some times or to the right, it is obvious that you are subject to that strong feeling inside you like any other human being. I cannot blame you; I am not better than you. The only thing I can say to you and to me is that the only Human that lived free of sin is Jesus Christ Himself. The answer of your question is within your heart.

believing in God is something personal; not something that you would boast about. It depends on how you feel and what it makes you feel about yourself and the world around you. If you're actually wondering about that, my honest answer would be trust your instict. God told us to love, care and appreciate each other. Satan has nothing to do with that. Love yourself and the way you are, respect yourself and the people around you. Don't do anything that might spoil the image you have for yourself and the values you defend to yourself; don't look at what the others think. Look at what you say and believe. Making love is a miracle; if you actually fall in love with somebody you're probably the most lucky person in the world! Cherish it and praise the Lord for it!

I think that if you indulge in the bulge you are giving into physical temptations which is to be mastered. Or, I should say controlled. "Mastered" is to close to another temptation. Christ endured 3 temptations. Those 3 temptations were in nature: physical, mental, and spiritual. These are the temptations all of us will be tested by as well. As our Lord said, "The spirit is willing but the body is week." I suggest you distract yourself from this temptation that doesn't require much imagination and prayer. Sorry, but I am just being honest. I can definately relate to your dilemma.

I can not belief .....those answers above ar horrible !!!! So you guys want to tell me that if you have ....... feelings ( to make love with somebody or yourself ) that that is bad ???
