dont you think its wierd how life ends up? Steve irwin dealt with the most deadly animals on the planet and came out unscathed a lot of the time. But one time he goes swimming with something that yes..can be painful if stung, but generally never known as fatal if stung, and he dies, by a fluke sting to the heart. I admired him for his work and his legacy will live on. God speed Steve Irwin.

I fully expected Steve Irwin to be an inspirational spirit who would be with us for many years. I feel so sorry for his wife and children. I saw the article about his death the first thing this morning and was absolutely shocked that he was gone. He had so much more to contribute to the world.

Its a pity to this world and especially to his wife and childrens and his country.
He died with a poison sting pierced into the heartwhich is stingray, he adventured his life wr the doctor cant able to reach but declared dead.
May God bless his soul for peace and show a way to his family.
This is a life nobody knowswhatever he dares but in seconds the life is perishable.

Right on. The guy was a great advocate for nature and wildlife, and a very funny fellow at that.

Looks like his thrill-seeking personality eventually did him in, but I don't think he'd change a thing.

If I believed in god, I would say that Steve Irwin did god's work, right up to the moment of his death. He was a good and generous man -- it takes generosity to give your life to the whole world.

A tragic loss, for his family and for the world.

> Steve Irwin died earlier today after a stingray attack.

The guy who was dangling his child a few feet in front of crocodiles for fun and profit at his crocs' farm ?

The guy for whom any living varmints (cats, foxes, etc) introduced by man in australia were interesting only in matters pertaining to the best ways to eradicate them ?

The guy who had field days persecuting animals in the name of fun and education ?

> This is not a joke. He died.

I'll die. You'll die. We all die. It is no joke. But may we all die for a worthy cause. Poking fun at a sting ray, or just walking over it, was not.

But I nonetheless feel enormous sympathy for the family he leaves behind.

What a guy!
I confess I am not suprised. You can only got "too close" to crocs and cobras and stingrays so many times before you get it, but I really enjoyed his enthusiasm.

The man was a legend. He will be remembered for his tireless conservation work and his endless enthusiasm too. What a terrible thing to happen. My heart goes out to his family at this difficult time.

I feel horrible for his wife and kids. Let's face it, he was not the kind of guy who was gonna die of a heart attack, face down in his dinner. He died doing what he loved. Blessed Be.
