Of course, if you don't want anything to do with the girl then technically, it shouldn't matter to you one way or another. However, let's be honest. Anyone is going to feel at least a little jealous and/or angry about it. I would ask the friend what's going on and go from there. You need to be weary that knowing something is going on between her and your friend doesn't make you want her back just because someone else wants her.

I'd wonder what exactly she was up to.
However there isn't much I can do about it without becoming a nag. So I would keep my ear close to the ground just in case the ex is playing games (like spreading rumours or otherwise trying to screw with me) but try not to force the issue unless I got something concrete on the girl. Otherwise everyone will start thinking I'm acting out of jealousy and pay more attention to what this girl says.

well then i would why my friend is getting a txt message for my ex and why we are not together will cause a rift between two friends if that was done

depends i suppose, quite often females seem to do this just to try to piss you off, or to try to stay close to you in some way.
i've been lucky in general my friends respect me enough to just chillax for a bit even tho i say go for it what ever, we're broke up
