I think it comes from the Sanskrit. Is it Persian? The entire poem reads:"Look to this day, for it is life The very life of Life. In its brief course lie all the realities and truths of existence: the joy of growth, the splendor of action, the glory of power. For yesterday is but a memory And tomorrow is only a vision; but today well lived makes every yesterday a memory of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well, therefore, to this day!"

Sanskrit Proverb
By Kalidasa

Look To This Day
For it is life,
The very life of life.
In its brief course lie all
The realities and verities of existence,
The bliss of growth,
The splendor of action,
The glory of power . . .

For yesterday is but a dream,
And tomorrow is only a vision.
But today, well lived,
Makes every yesterday a dream of
happiness
And every tomorrow a vision of
hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

Weekdays: 6:00am - Wake up. Go to the bathroom: do my skin care routine, brush my teeth and brush my hair. Have my breakfast, put my clothes on, put some makeup on and do my hair. Get ready for university and make sure I have everything I need. 8:00am - Go to the library with people on my floor. Spend some time there reading before lectures. 9:00am - 5:00pm: ALL day of lectures :/ 6:00pm: Back in my dorm. Work on my assignments, read the lectures for the next day and read some nursing books. 8:00pm: Make dinner, and make my lunch & snacks for the next day. 9:00pm: Have my shower and change into my PJ's. Talk to people and carry on reading. 9:30pm: Bed :) Weekends: 5:00am: Wake up and get ready for work (same as above) 6:00am: Leave for work 6:40am (roughly): Get into work. Change into my health care assistant uniform. Put everything in my locker 7:15am: Listen to handover and take notes. 7:30am - 8:30pm: Work. 12 hour shift always on my feet, and sometimes stay till 9:00pm. Get home sometimes at 11:00pm. On the ward I take part in handover, do doctor's ward rounds, do paper work, do admissions, do nurses rounds, do observations - blood pressure, respiration levels, pulse rate and temperature. Talk to parents & families, change the babies, and feed the babies. xoxo
