I believe in God, Jesus Christ, creation, etc, etc. however, I'm not what you would call a christian as I'm at odds with many such people ( not all ) and I'm still not ready to give my life and identity to something I'm not totally sure of. I do not attend any church, bible groups, etc etc. I hardly even read my bible anymore...

However, I still pray cause I believe God is real and its my way of acknowledging him. During meals, when I have something to talk with Him about, etc. But somewhere in the Bible it says that : to whom much is given much will be required...

Sooo should I stop praying, since, my life is almost going a totally different path from that of Christianity ? Wouldn't I be judged more harshly when if i dropped dead suddenly for all the answered prayers that were not repaid in kind ? Plus, wouldn't it be hyprocritcal of me to pray during meal times, etc in front of others ? I don't pray aloud btw, all my conversation with God is private...so should I stop praying?

i don't think you should stop praying. God will honor prayers of those seriously seeking Him. it's only hypocritical if you don't believe in what you're doing. if you just going through motions, then yes, it would be hypocritical. it all depends on where your heart is.

In contrary to your name, you seem quite confused! But excellent and lovely question all the same...

You should most definitely continue praying! It seems like something important in your life. If you have the desire for God and his world, pray to your needs! I don't think there are special "requirements" like most people think. Sure, you have to have a certain discipline and do certain things, but first of all what God wanted was to be loved by free will! Never by obligation. Or at least I wouldn't call something part of the Christian religion "requirements"... I strongly believe in this, though I may wrong or right or so.

Anyway, continue with your private conversations with God for they do you well (no matter how hard it may be to believe in sometimes) and take care. God Bless and hope I helped. : )

No, you shouldn't stop praying. I don't know where you live, but have you ever heard of Calvary Chapel church? They are pretty cool. I quit going for a long time. I got turned off of going to church. A friend turned me on to CSN on the radio and I got hooked. CSN is Calvary Satelite Network. After listening to the on the radio I did a google search and found one of their churches near me and went. I highly recommend it. You might be surprised with the attitude and people. At times it can be serious, but at other times you feel like you are at a Christian comedy club for a moment. It helped me get beck to being right with God and Jesus. Not perfect, just my worship and fellowship as a Christian. I would say, never stop praying no matter what anyone says. Take care my friend and may God the Father bless you with his light, love, grace and wisdom.

I think you are on your pass to become more mature in Christ.
You believe in God, and it is important. Christianity is not all about visiting church building and different religious groups.
It is your personal spiritual development. Christ was in a desert for 40 days. Only God knows how long it will take you to be ready for a next step. Our flesh's desires quite often want to take us from the pass of rightiousness. I know how hard it is.
You will make mistakes as everybody does, you will rip what you sow, as everybody else. That is other side of freedom of will.
Keeping praying is keeping connection with God from your side.
Reading Bible is learning His will and learning on mistakes of other people.

never stop praying .

i knw a story ( it is a real one ), once a monk had the habit of sleeping with women without marriage n he was a monk anyway .
however he didnt stop praying at all , n all the time Satan comes n tell him why do pray , why do u stay a monk , he answered that he is sure that one day god will make him stop doing this , he prayed n prayed so he would stop n he stopped , that was cz of his faith so u too , all u will have to do is to pray n ask god to help u to stop but get the intention to stop sinning n the intention of following the bible , if u have these3e intentions n u pray for it once god will help u , but put in mind that he will never help u unless u r trying to follow his way , unless u have these intentions , unless u have faith that he can help u n he will help u , n unless u really try hard to follow him .
so keep praying plzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
plz dnt stop , dnt stop keep praying , n god will guide u .

i dont really understnad what you are asking, but if you believe in GOD there is no reason why you shouldnt pray to him. you dont always need to ask him for things, but thank him for things (your life, ect.). you shouldnt not be a chirstian because you disagree with christians; if the religion itself suits you and you can identify with it but not the people, be a christian but worship on your own if you feel uncomfortable around other christians in church. you could understand christianity better if you went to church or read the Bible, and if your life is following an unchristian path and you believe in GOD, try to live your life in a way He would want, its never to late to change.

Praying is the dumbest concept ever. If god doea exist, doesn't he already know all your thoughts? Hans't he already made up his mind about what you;re asking for? Does a prayer change the mind of god? What's the point in praying then?

I would never discourage prayer, no matter what you're going through. I really hope you'll commit your life to Christ though, because it's the best thing you can do for yourself. Maybe this site will help: www.notreligion.com
God bless
