It's sad to see him gone. I think his passion for wildlife was something to respect and appreciate. I do find it slightly ironic though that after all his years of being around rattle snakes and crocodiles he is killed by a usually gentle stingray, especially considering there have only ever been 2 stings from them in Australia.

His death is a tradgedy, and he will be sorely missed. Im from England and everyone here is talking about his death, which just goes to show how popular he was throughout the world. He did some amazing work for animals and their habitats and he should never be forgotten.
God Bless Him, and his family.
RIP Steve Irwin, RIP

I'm sad. Steve was a personal hero of mine. He was a man of great courage and character. He did some crazy things. That man had cajones! He had alot of heart too. I remember when his dog died and it took him a while to get over his grief. I saw an episode, before they were parents, when he and Terry were having a spat and snapping at each other. I saw what a great father he was. I will miss him. He was a hero to me. I hope his next life goes well for him.

We are sad, but not too surprised that his life ended in such a way - it is the life that he lived. Such a shame that he could not have been more careful considering his position as young father and husband. But he will always be remembered well, I think, because of the information and joy that he brought to so many.

I have to admit I am not overly surprised, but saddened as he was an extraordinary person who helped bring a positive awareness to encourage a greater appreciation for wildlife conservation in spite of the obvious dangers associated with many wild animals.
It's safe to say that he died doing what he loved doing; however, arguably before his time. He reminds us all of how fragile our lives really are.

This is a very sad day for all lovers of nature and wildlife. Steve was a champion for clearing up myths, and teaching us to love animals as they are in their own environment. He taught us to respect nature and its power. So sorry he had to go. Fortunately, he died doing what he loved. We are all better and more knowledgeable for having known him.

i did not think of so in the previous each and every thing the two, yet i'm so sorry to declare that it fairly is actual. it fairly is been on the information on television all day long. He became filming for a tutor & a stingray attacked him. curiously the tail embedded in his heart, yet it rather is not shown as reason for death in simple terms yet. extra might desire to be imminent interior the subsequent day or so.
