My daughter has been pestering me all summer for an MP3 player becuae "everybody has one". The iPod just seems way to expensive for an 11 year old. She is going into sixth grade and she has been a great kid this summer so I want to get one for her but I don't want to break the bank either.
THANKS!

Have you tried the local elctronics stores. I bet they do have some cheap ones. If there isn't maybe you can try getting the MP3 when there is a great discount or some kind of promotion. Anyway, MP3 is now quite our of fad. You can try getting a MP4. Something like MP3 but there is an extra function that is to watch MTVs or Movies!

I had no idea that mp3 players where just as expensive..Here goes I found one at wal mart.com it's a panasonice sc mp020 for 119.72,I also went to radioshack.com and found even cheaper ones from 10-300$... seems like the best way to go is the 50$ one ..It's in between it is for those who are new to the music scene of downloading and such... I think you should first go check out the radio shacks web site read what they say then go from there..good luck :)

Join Toys R US newsletter. They periodically send out email coupons for MP3 players for ( on average) $30. Always check their clearance section too. Nothing is currently on sale. Sorry and Good Luck.

They also send out great coupons during Christmas season.

don't get an ipod. I even have been procuring them because of the fact it first got here out an prolonged time in the past and that i'm by with them. i exploit mine as a reflect now. purchase her a zune. It has a bigger exhibit screen, you pays attention on your song from a yahoo account or rhapsody, that's greater appropriate in case you do no longer prefer to purchase all the songs off of itunes. additionally, iPods scratch actually ,the video ones.

You could get her an ipod shuffle, they are only about 60 dollars, and from what i've seen thats about the cheapest you'll find for a good one, or somewhat good one. My 8 year old has one of those.
