This is so cool I was born and raised in Okotoks and moved to NS at 15 then moved back to Calgary to attend Mt.Royal and get married but now I live 3hours from Halifax! I've driven across the country on this treck at least 6 times.
It all depends on how quickly you want to drive it. It is possible to do the drive in 3.5 days with 2 drivers doing about 16 hour days and minimal stops including very brief stops at night. A decent trip will take you 5 days with full evening stops.
If you come this way before thanksgiving stop at the Age of Sail Museum in Port Greville and say HI!

If you have 2 drivers, it will take you between 2 and 3 days. If you are driving yourself, you can count on a long 4 days. The first day plan on getting into Ontario from Calgary. Take another day and a half to get into Quebec and a day to Halifax from there. In Nipigon ,Ontario, just east of Thunder Bay, take the northern route to North Bay, not as many hills or tourists. From North Bay head towards Ottawa and avoid the Toronto area altogether.

how many drivers ya got? if only 1 and doing a look around when you go expect 3 or 4 days,,you can save 1 day going through the states,i would come back up through sault michigan into sault ontario that saves a day rather than driving all around lake superior, ontario an quebec are very large.

Small world....I lived in Okotoks 10 years -by D'Arcy Ranch- and my family is in NS, so we did this trip many, many times.
It will take you 5 solid days driving 12 to 14 hours a day, so bottom line 65 to 70 hrs...how you want to do it is up to you. Do yourself a favor, don't do it in the winter, it is awful.......

It's going to take you four days. Why not add a couple of days and stop to visit a few places along the way?
