If you're like me, you never want to face it and basically can't. Love to me isn't something that is just thrown away for some stupid thing. But on the other hand emotional abuse can literally kill someone. When you truly love another and hang on to hope of being together for always, you can put up with all kinds of issues: re: little incidents of lack of communication, misunderstandings, etc. but when you are constantly being shunned or rejected for no valid reason other than self centered interests and narcissism, or their wanting to be in total control of you by making you feel lower than them, it's time to rethink your situation. True love is a powerful and God blessed gift. HE gives it to those who need it and deserve it. If someone takes that and twists it into hate, they are the loser in so many factors. They need help to realize how foolish they are and for being desperate to rid themselves in denial of the feelings they have. Instead of moving forward, they keep moving backward. Life is so short and so sweet when it is special by GOD'S graces. But it has to be recognized and appreciated by two not just one. GOD forgive him for he knows not what he does to the one who loves him truly for all eternity.............
Anyone who claims to be in the light but hates his brother is still in the darkness. Whosoever loves his brother lives in the light and there is nothing in him to make him stumble.
1 John 2:9,10 NIV........
An offered hand of peace that is rejected shall feel the pain all the way to the heart. The poems of love are drained as the heart slowly dies and withers to ashes as roses do when they are burned forever......~pas~

I am actually the first one to leave at the first hint that the other person is not interested in me ,or is interested in someone else.
Then after I do "move on" as you say,I find out later on that the person really did have feelings for me,and I did not pick up the right signals .
I don't want to be caught in a situation of feeling like a jerk.
So I "beat feet","skedaddle","exit stage right", or the general "I am outta here" mentality is pretty much the way I have conducted most of my life at the first hint that I am not wanted somewhere.
I think it is a primal inst inc built in to us,and maybe a little fear of rejection thrown in to the mix that induces this mentality.
Unfortunately I am in a situation right now where an ex girlfriend still wants me around as a "friend" status, and I don't know how to get out of it .I still have feelings for her,but I know she doesn't have feelings for me that way,and i want to move on but she is still bringing me in to her life and I feel kind of stuck right now.
Good Luck !
