First you have to get them tame, then they have to want to come to you. Then you try and adapt thier natural behavior in to tricks like climbing a ladder to get to their food. or climbing along a string to get to you. place them on to moving objects like childrens toys and make them feel safe before you move it with them on. Best of luck

they at the instant are not pungent that's a lie, my father and mom used to think of the comparable element. A cockateil could be ultimate for yall! they could be loud sometimes(no longer that undesirable) and that i dont recommend leaving them interior the basement...thier are drafts and all varieties of base issues, except you have a very properly executed basement like a room-form one. birs want numerous interest be sure which you do do examine and make certain you by no ability have any solid smells, like fragrance, bleach, cooking, or something around your chook or you will land up with a ineffective chook, thier immune structures are vulnerable. they're wonderful PETS! Ive had a cockateil, parakeep, cockatoo, and now 2 green cheek conures. be sure your waiting to scrub thier cage approximately thrice each week and spray them with water or supply them baths in luke heat water like as quickly as each week make certain the water is not any deeper than an inch. The extra interest they have the less loud they are going to be. additionally in case you get 2 birds which will help with the lonleyness they are going to be positive in the event that they have eachother.

Positive Reinforcement Training.
Here are some websites:

Barbara Heidenreich's "Good Bird" Magazine is excellent:

Do your homework, study the techniques and you will be well on your way to teaching them all kinds of things. I have a Grey that does about 20 tricks including shooting hoops with a basketball and putting rings on a peg. Once you learn how, it's easy to train them.
But you have to train yourself and learn how to do it before you see any results.
