How can speakers with only two 3½" woofers have such low bass and handle 300 watts? It seems to defy the laws of physics.

I just read this review and thought how can a speaker so small be capable to do this much? It's hard to believe. Do you believe it?

Given the comments in the review, do you know of any other speakers out there that would be comparable or competitive?

although the review seems in-depth enough these speakers do seem to good to be true though with modern practices producing such a speaker cannot be placed beyond the realms of possibility. i notice the reviewer was using a lot of high-end sources/amplification so what may work with one amp may not work with another. (audiophilia is a funny old business at times and good sound quality can come down to something as innoccuous as using the correct cabling). i was impressed with the price which if what is claimed of these speakers is true then a real bargain could be had. i would advise an audition xenon-then you can decide for yourself if they are up to all the hype.

300w does not bother me so much, at the top end, most is probably dissipated as heat and the tweeter is protected. I assume that the frequency response is plus or minus 3%.

My impression is the manufacture spent a lot of time on the enclosure. Vented, multi ordered, chambered etc. I have found that these types of enclosures that i have built (obviously with larger divers) have low bass but seem to lack impact. With 3.5 in drivers I would believe they would seriously lack impact. This does not imply that they can't sound good, even great.

I would give them a test and listen for impact and bass lag.

They may very will be a great value in their price range.
