Hey all,
Im married and always wanted to become a priest. Although those plans were not fullfilled it is my understanding that you can still become a Decon when married. Is this true ?
If so what is some good ways to go about this and is there online colleges or schools that i can go through to follow through on this. I work about 60-70 hours a week now between my job and business and would like to try to do this online somehow. So any help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

Yes, you can still become Deacon even though you are married.

As far as online theological institutes go, the best I have been able to find, for my needs, is the Sure Foundation. All I aspire in is to be a Catholic Apologist. I do not know whether the Sure Foundation's program will satisy the Church as far as becoming a deacon is concerned.

The Code of Canon Law: http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG1104/_INDEX.HTM
seems to contain a lot of helpful information as far as who to contact, what the requirements of becoming a Deacon are, and so forth. Chances are, you've probably already looked at Canon Law.

Good luck in your vocation.

I will be the first to say I don't know that much about the Catholic church,,

However let me extend the invitation to the Epsicopal Church,, very much like the Catholic Church, without the pope and our priests can be married.

Seriously I am not trying to make fun of you or anything and I would suggest that you follow your dreams and any calling God has given you.

God Bless you

Best to study the books the apostle Paul wrote to Timothy. It addresses what you need to know and do to become a deacon or a leader of the church.
