I am clueless when it comes to these domestic chores and stuff...

hey leave my novella answers alone(the pencil question)! lol. Actually I feel a long novel coming on so be careful miss lola.......;)

Seriously though, I just put them in a nice sealed bag and then a container and this does the trick. That one trick is the only trick I know of domestic chores........

for lettuce, after you have washed and spin dry it in a salad spinner or even if you buy the bagged kind in the store (which is not always good as they have found cases of e coli. ) But anyway after the lettuce is cleaned and dried, store in ziploc bags or sealed plastic containers and add a couple of paper towels in with it. They will absorb the moisture.

boil them a little then put them in a bag then into the fridge.

try this..

with a plastic box, which has an option to remove air from it..
evacuate it..
this way ur veggies live longer..

i keep my vegies wrapped in a layer or two of news paper and put it in plastic bag and it usually fresher for longer.

The only true way i know is to blanch em(par cook) and freeze em

first you wash it then you wait till the water dries (if it's wet the fruit will be rotten), then you put it in the fridge.
it works for me.
