First and foremost....go to a chemist and and get yourself some Bonjela !!!!! Rub this onto their gums, and it will really ease the pain. Furthermore, it helps my wisdom teeth, too!

There are also 'toys' you can get, such as gel-filled rings, the little trip-hazards will chew and rub their gums on look for ones you can put in the fridge, as this eases it too. Check in Mothercare if you are in the UK.

Finally, a big sympathetic hug to you and your baby. Its exhausting looking after a baby during these times, but spare a thought for this little one who cannot communicate to you about their pain, nor even understand what is happening to them in the first place. Be as sensitive as you can to any signs they give you, so you can pick up on it as soon as possible.

All the best,
Sx

put them in the freezer or fridge with banana in, they have the same effect as teething rings.

Ashton and Parsons Infants' Powders is also good, it's a herbal formula which helps with the pain and any stomach upset.

Liquid anbesol. works even for adults- for babies rub a little on a clean finger or cotton bud and rub onto gums.... mae sure you don't touch it on the outer skin areas- very sore- inside the mouth- perfect- completely numbs the pain. Always check with the pharmacist though

Sounds weird, but trying rubbing a little whiskey on their gums! Really works. I promise. Or like baby orajel or something, I guess. I prefer the home remedies.

When my daughter was teething I used those gel teething rings and kept them in the fridge for her, I also used bonjela to rub on her gums, and gave her ice cubes to suck on, when it got really bad I gave her Calpol.

My mother always's believed in a BIG bottle of whisky. It got rid of the pain and put me to sleep, now if I can just stop staggering over the place I'll be okay. Hic!
