According to the word of God, (Bible), the only way to the Father (God) is thru the Son (Jesus). Yes, I do believe this. Yes, I am a Christian.
Also, Jesus said, no one knew the depth of His mercy.
I pray Steve knew the Lord as his personal Savior. I also pray for his family. His children seemed to adore him.
He left a wonderful legacy. Yet, "What does it profit a man to gain the world and lose his soul"?
If Steve knew Jesus as his Savior, he is in Heaven. Even if at the very end of his life, Steve called upon the Lord for Salvation, according to the Bible, he is with the Lord.
We as children of God should not judge this matter. This is God's territory. Jesus even said, "We don't know the depths of His mercy.
Reason we shouldn't judge this is you or I do not know what was in that person's heart before their spirit left their body.
The best thing all of us can do now is pray for Steve's family.
His wife & children have a very difficult road. I hope they all call upon the Lord for strength & peace. I hope this helps, some.

Hey people I really enjoyed watching steve irwin over the years, but when you die it comes down to 2 things, your either saved or lost....if your saved your soul will be with Jesus forever and have eternal life, if your lost then your soul with be in hell for eternity and cast into the lake of fire at the Great White Throne Judgement. Thats the Word of God. I don't know what steve's religion is but i think he might have been an athiest from his myspace page had on it....and if thats true and thats his myspace page which it looks like it might have been then it don't look good for steve because you die without Christ then you will go to Hell.

Steve Irwin was a very inspiring man. In the eyes of many around the world he was a role model, a man of smiles, a good man who did many good things. I would love so much to know that he will spend eternity in heaven. However, he cannot get there by his own good merits or deeds. The Bible says we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. If God is just, which He is, He cannot allow sinners into heaven. Sin MUST be punished. That punishment is called Hell, and it is for all eternity.
The good news is that God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten son, Jesus Christ, to take the punishment on our behalf on the cross so that justice could be satisfied. I don't know if Steve Irwin repented of his sin and put his trust in the sacrifice of Jesus, but I hope he did.
so, are you good enough to get into heaven? find out at http://www.livingwaters.com/good/

I agree with Mama Bear, and I don't know where his faith was. All I know is that he will be missed by a lot of people.
Steve Irwin made me laugh, and groan at his antics with the crocodiles.
I just hope his family will receive some peace and comfort in this time of grief.
Let's all remember Steve's family in either prayer or whatever way you reflect on a person's death. Getting stabbed in the heart by a stingray tail is not a pleasant way to go.

How do you all know he was Christian? You keep talking about how it's God's job to place him, but what if he was atheist or Buddhist? His son was publicly blessed-- on international television-- by Buddhist monks. Maybe he's reached nirvana now. Perhaps he'll be reincarnated. Maybe he's just dead.
There is no wrong or right answer, but there is also no definite answer. He went where he believed he would go. That is all. It's disrespectful to him to assume his beliefs and what happened to him after he died. Steve Irwin is absoutely dead on this plane of existence. But if he believed he would achieve nirvana, his soul now rests in infinite tranquility. If he believed there is nothing after death, he is gone. If he believed in reincarnation...
Well, who knows?
Maybe he's a crocodile now. I think he'd like that.

i think he went to heaven for all the good deeds he has done. He has raised awareness for the animals, protected and helped nature. God created nature and so Irwin was doing a great job! God Bless. He will be greatly missed here in Australia. ='(

I am very sorry for the loss of this man. He brought a lot of entertainment and understanding about nature to the world. He will be missed.
I do not know if he confessed Jesus Christ as Lord & Savior. So, I do not know where his soul has gone. And I am not to judge, only God.
May the Comforter, comfort his family and friends. Amen

He's still here ... at least in spirit and in the souls of his children. No doubt he will be missed but do you really think that the Croc Hunter would want people to be sad about his death?
He died doing what he loved, educating people about animals. That's better then getting hit by a car or dying of old age isn't it?

I find it sad that everyone on this post believes that it is their duty to determine the eternal destination of this great man's soul. That is a job for God...and Him alone!!! We should be more concerned with the things of this life of which we have control...like sending our prayers out for the well-being of the family and friends of our beloved Crocodile Hunter.

He went to see God. After that, only God will know where he will end up. Only God knows the heart best.
I was sorry to hear of the death of this very interesting man. It was a terrible accident, leaving his wife and 2 small children behind. So sudden, and so tragic.
Worry more about his wife and kids, if you want to take care of somebody. They have lost a husband and father, respectively.
