Just as cars need fuel to run, so do bodies. Vitamins will give you only that, vitamins. You need nutrients and fiber or your system will shut down.

Personally, I get your point. I am not big on eating and sometimes 'forget' to eat if I am busy. I keep a stock of Carnation Instant Breakfast in the house. When I am too lazy to cook, I have a glass of that and a bowl of cereal. Food is not a priority with me.

Plants get their energy directly from the sun. Since animals (including humans) don't have the ability for photosynthesis, we have to eat plants or other animals that eat plants. It's second or third hand energy.

Vitamins are usually synthetic and do not contain the enzymes that the body needs to use them. Vitamins can help make up for something your diet lacks, but cannot nourish you or keep you alive.

Fruit is the most healthful food you can eat, requires the least time for preparation and clean up and can be gobbled on the run.

uh no.
I might not enjoy eating and find it a horribly slow way of getting my nutrition but if I don't eat my body starts shaking, I can't focus on normal activities, my eye sight starts to get weird. My body and all the systems within it need food to function.
Eating to live is ok. Living to eat is not. Anyone who wants to replace eating with just vitamins (and minerals, too, dude) needs to see a therapist.

We do not have to eat, although death tends to result without it, but most feel compelled to in order to replace depleted, i.e. used, nutrients for an energetic physical life, or simply because it tastes pleasurable.

"Assuredly it is not to eat, nor to sleep, nor to dress, nor to repose on the couch of negligence. Nay, it is to find one's way to eternity an understand the divine signs; to receive wisdom from the Lord of Lords, and to move steadily forward like a great sea. This is my hope for thee."

And is the only energy our brains can use.
