Lynn you asked this question and ignored it because you really don't have any information about Islam. You believe what you listen on CNN and other news network who are busy promoting Osama Bin Laden. It is the western media which has made Osama Bin Laden a household name.
According to Qur'an and I know that Osama Bin Laden can understand Qur'an better than me because he is Arabic speaking verly clearly says that there is no compulsion in religion.
Osama Bin Laden deputy statement on TV is political statement to get the support of common Muslims.
I am a Muslim and have to intentions to convert anybody to Islam.

Nice question. But every religion are like that. They just want people under their control. They misinterpret(may be interpret wud do) their teachings to get more people under their mercy. They are called fundamentalists. Also muslims believe that they will be served by virgins after death if they go to heaven. Also these guyz believe that they will go 2 heaven if they kill other nonbelievers. You are right in some manner, but shouldn't look upon everyone in the same way. I am not a muslim, nor do i respect them, but u should remember that Galileo was forced 2 tell that earth was flat by church and pope. Now I must say that I am not a christian, nor do i respect them
I respect people of all religion as long as they are morally correct and donot sin. Why did church ban Harry Potter series of books?Or Dan Brown's DaVinci code? Why are people of any religion claiming that others will go 2 hell?
Freedom 2 expression is every person's right. There is no need of forced conversion, nor is there any need of denying a person. Another thing, u mite be thinking entirely different of Islam, had u born as muslim. Religions destroy peace. I implore u not 2 classify people according 2 their religion.
To be precise I respect no religion nor am i atheist.

You are equating all Muslims as having the same beliefs.
That's like saying the Pope is responsible for the actions of Warren Jeffs. Both are religious leaders under the umbrella of Christianity, but their beliefs in God and the teachings of their church are totally different.
When you understand that, you may actually realize that many Muslims are a pretty decent lot.

What are you talking about? Answers from Muslims are good because they are adding another viewpoint. Muslims are monotheists and Islam evolved from the Christian and Jewish tradition so there is much in common. There are also differences, and these are interesting to many people who read the religion topic.

When did you lose the ability to think?
Can't you make your own decisions on what to believe or do you need to hve someone hold your hand and walk you through life?
Has a "Muslim" ever threatened your life?
If an American walks into a post office and shoots 20 people do you automatically say that all postal employees are dangerous?

first of all, when was the last time a muslim missionary knocked on ur doorstep? when was the last time a muslim took u to mosque and asked u for a donation? or when was the last time a muslim took money for u to get his fat wife some pedicure and manicure?
we dont want people to join Islam who are not meant for it or deserve it. u cant pressurize someone when it comes to faith.
Allah knows best. no man can actually ever convert for another man/woman. and no one should ever try converting someone else. Allah has said spread the word not make them beleive it.
we can only tell people about islam not make them beleive it. making them beleive in islam is Allah's job. as Allah says "Verily! I shalt guide those whose hand is in mine"
Al-Kafiroon | 6 verses | The Disbelievers سÙرة اÙÙاÙرÙÙ
Sura #109 | Makkah
1 Say: O disbelievers!
2 I worship not that which ye worship;
3 Nor worship ye that which I worship.
4 And I shall not worship that which ye worship.
5 Nor will ye worship that which I worship.
6 Unto you your religion, and unto me my religion.
so u follow ur religion and let me follow mine.

You are sick and you are mean... Do not associate all Muslims with the extreme mean ones... I am a Muslim and i will not kill you if you are not of my religion... I made a lot of friends who are not of my religion and we can live in harmony and peace... I know you are angry with those who kills people of your religion... I am not delighted that it happens either... But don't blame all of us because of a rotten bunch... God knows what to do with those who hurt others... Peace?

So are you implying they are being mobilized to cover up something? Or to propagate their faith? Or to check Christianity at bay?
I, for one, do not seek advise from them, but understanding from all faith and that includes Christianity.

Good question! It really gets to me that all these people seem to feel sorry for those who want to kill Americans and yet hate our government who is trying to protect us from them! What's up with that?
