right then, get your heads around this. luke 21:24 says jerusalem(representing true worshippers of God) would be trampled on by the nations until the appointed time is fulfilled. jerusalem was destroyed in 607bce begining that time period. daniel 4:23-25 is a prophecy with a double meaning. initially it refered to nebuchadnezzer, but it also refers to Gods kingdom. the scripture speaks of 7 times passing over. so 7 times will pass over from 607bce to the coming of Gods kingdom. revalation 12:6,14 can be used to see that 3 and a half times is 1260 days. so 7 times is 2520 days. nothing happened 2520 days after 607 bce, but if we use the 'day for a year' principle found innumbers 14:34 and ezekial 4:6, that is 2520 years. 2520 years after 607 bce is 1914.
so if Gods kingdom began ruling in 1914, we would expect the signs of christs presence (matthew 24:3-14) to be seen. plus, revalation 12:9 explains why bad things happen. talk to jehovahs witnesses. they know a thing or two.

Well whoever tried to work that out must be a very sad person and can't have much better to do. Come on if the scripures wanted us to know the return of Jesus why the dickens would he make it so complicated. You my friend have been decieved. No eye saw Jesus in 1914. Wait aminute the Bible say's that every eye shall see him. The Church is still here. Wait the Scriptures say that when Jesus returns He will take his church to be with him.
Do you think that some complete idiot might have lied to you? Do you think that the Watch Tower might actually be a load of rubbish and has never predicted anything that has come to pass. If it has why are you still here. According to the watch Tower the world should have ended years ago. Well if thats the case, then this must be hell. The Bible worns us about about false Prophets. You know what? You guys are actually trying to get people to believe some of those false prophecies, because you believe they are true. The Jehovah's Witnesses are not God's people they are decieved and they need to know the Love of the Lord Jesus in there heart. Read Romans 8. In a proper Bible. If you Bible is the right one, why does it keep changing, when somebody finds something they don't agree with? Think about it.

All these numbers that you're using are symbolic! The Bible is not a maths text book nor is it written in some codified language. Only cults and fiction writers, both out to make a fast buck, will tell you that.

Jesus has been reigning, and God's new kingdom has been established, for some 2000 years now. The signs of Christ's presence as described in Matthew 24 refer to the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD.

It's obvious from Bible prophecy and chronology that Jesus Christ did become King and started ruling from heaven in 1914. Even a number of non-Witness historians recognize the fact that the year 1914 was a critical one in human history, and that since then the signs that Jesus spoke of in Matthew 24 that would happen during his "presence" are being more and more fulfilled with each passing day. Soon, in his role as God's Judge and Executioner, he will bring vengeance on this Satan-controlled world, destroying all false religion and man's governments and yet saving those who obey him and who preach about his father's great name, Jehovah.

Figures lie and liars figure.

Talk to JWs IF and ONLY If you happen to like ABC gum.

Jesus Christ is King but He has NOT yet returned in all of His glory. We certainly wouldn't be on Yahoo Answers if He had returned.

I call your attention to Deuteronomy 18:20-22.

I suggest that you read the WHOLE Bible and not the short-sheeted NWT distortion of the Bible.

Please tell me - where did you get those mushrooms? I could do with some as well.

More seriously, nearly all "prophecies" can be interpreted to mean whatever you want. all you've done is take a meaningless set of numbers and invent a meaning for them.

Try watching the Life of Brian - the mystics at the wall giving out their prophecies. People have done it for centuries and even the conflicting ones come true - if you have a sufficiently contorted mind.

My history books say Jerusalem and the temple were destroyed in 586 bce, sorry to mess up your timeline.

The Second Coming of Christ has NOT taken place! The millenial reign has not begun! When Christ comes again EVERY EYE will see Him as He rides through the air on a white horse. (see Revelation 1:7)

I would say you have misinterpreted Scripture. When Jesus returns, everyone will know it, but no-one will be able to predict it. There are also people saying 2027 and giving evidence for it, but I give little credence to that either

yep. revelations says there will be wars (Iraq and Lebanon), famine (Africa), disease (africa), great waves (asia) and a load of other stuff. look around people, it's all happening. dont want 2 sound like a prophet of doom or anything, but the world is ending.

however, trying to calculate the exact date is impossible. again, in revelations, it says that it will all happen over thousands of years. jehovas witnesses may believe in Jesus and God, but a lot of their teaching is wrong.
