Very interesting question. In my experience, you fall in love, you do not "grow" or "become" in love. It either happens or it doesn't. You cannot make someone fall in love with you either. Love does grow, but being enamored doesn't really. My guess is that the feelings this guy has for you won't surpass the level he's at. His honesty is an indication that he genuinely likes you though and that's a good thing. However, better hold on to your heart, for now at least.

I doubt it,but he is giving you clues about
his intentions,like trying to get what he wants
without having a real relationship with you.
