Stress will become a problem only if you let it. Don't make stress an issue. Just deal with what has happened and oncoming events matter-of-factly. You're only human, you can only do what you can do. So just do whatever you can do, and the rest is something you can't do anything about. No point worrying or stressing about things you have no control over. That's life. Know your priorities. Attend to them. The rest: you deal with them if and when you can. Be comfortable with that approach. Be happy with that. You only live once. Enjoy the good bits, don't worry about the bad bits.

Well, from experience go and see a Psychologist or Psychiatrist. You said you think your girlfriend is stressing you out...a doctor might be able to go deeper and find out exactly what is triggering this. Stress will lead to anxiety and depression and it can become a vicious cycle. If you feel you can't get throuh it alone, see a doc. Also, have you tried to talk to her about these things?
Alot of people will tell you to just deal with it, but not everything is meant to be dealt with alone...hang in there, I have gone through it most of my life

Could be depression caused by stress. There are lots of different causes of stress, and thus lots of different ways of combatting it.
Why not try and figure out what is stressing you and then post that as a more detailed question? We may have been there before and may have suggestions.

If you feel like this for longer than a week you should really see someone about it. To avoid feeling stressed, work out why you are stressed and tackle the problem directly.

You should make a visit to a beach nearby or go to the zoo. This will give you time to think about what is causing the stress and depression. Please note this is a serious suggestion. Getting closer to nature will give you the answers, which you need to remove the negative feelings from your life.

Eliminate caffiene from your diet.
Make sure you're getting enough sleep.
Try not to watch TV or use the computer for at least 2 hrs before bed; it stimulates your brain and makes it hard to relax.
Identify sources of stress in your life (job, relationships etc.) and try to find ways to change your situation. If you can't change jobs or whatever, do what you can to minimize the stress.
Learn relaxation techniques to control your response to situations you can't change.
