The most obvious difference is that the F-14 has variable geometry (swing) wings, designed to increase maneuverability at low speeds when outstetched, and Higher speeds when swept back. They have built for the same role, but the F-14 was designed for carrier-bourne operations, wherehas the F-15 Eagle was designed to take off from a conventional runway. Both are capable of ground attack, but the F-15 is better than the F-14 in this role (F-15E Strike Eagle).
From the side, these aircraft look similar, but from above, they're very different.

Several differences, driven by design philosophy and the intended roles for the planes.
The F-14 is derived from the unsucessful navalised version of the F-111. The primary threat to USN carriers at the time was the long range bombers of Soviet Naval Aviation. The USN wanted a long range interceptor with high speed, high manueverability, good handling at low speeds, and a long range missile. Given the technology at the time this dictated a fairly large aircraft with variable geometry wings and a 2 person crew.
The F-15 came out of the USAF FX program of the early 60s, which wasn't kicked into high gear until the Soviets unveiled the new Mig-23 Flogger and Mig-25 Foxbat at the 1967 Domodedovo air show. The F-15 was designed as an air superiority fighter, high speed and high manueverability being the primary requirements.
The F-14 was the finest long-range interceptor in the world, and the only plane ever in service to carry the AIM-54 Phoenix missile. The early versions of the Tomcat used the TF30 engine, which was underpowered and prone to stalling, degrading the manuverability of the Tomcat. This was rectified in the B and D models which had the F110 engine, giving it dogfighing performance almost on par with the F-15.
The F-15 was probably the best fighter in service with any country until the appearance of the Su-27 Flanker, which had similar if not possibly better manueverability than the F-15, although it wasn't near as capable when avionics were compared.
In short, the F-14 was designed as a long range interceptor, to protect the fleet from incoming SNA raids, while having a secondary ability in the air superiority role. The F-15 was designed as an air superiority fighter, to mix it up with the more numerous, yet less capable, Soviet Migs, Sukhois, and Yaks over Western Europe.
Sorry, too tired to go into too much detail, so I gave you the really short version.
Oh, and the F-14 was exported to one country..........Iran, which reportedly still has around 40 of them in operation. Also, I wouldn't say that the F-14 is really older than the F-15, they entered squadron service only 2 years apart, and were essentially developed during the same time frame in the late 60s.

The F-14 Tomcat was intended for standoff air interception, and was purose-built to carry the AIM-54 Pheonix missle, which has a range of over 100 miles and travels at 5 times the speed of sound (over 3000+ mph).
The F-15, on the other hand was intended for Air superiority missions. It was a slightly greater range and more diversified payload than the F-14, excellent for loitering over a battlefield to deny airspace to enemy aircraft. Both of these aircraft can perform either role, but the F-14's carrier capability and long missle range makes it excellent for intercepting enemy bombers, which, at the time of their entry into the military, was a very real possiblity.
The F-15 has a higher payload, and with developments by the Isreali Air Force (IAF), the F-15E Strike Eagle was developed and became a bomber that was highly capabale in ATA combat. While both are excellent aircraft, the F-15 has much more versatility that will give it a longer service life than the F-14 Tomcat, which is already being replaced by the new F/A-18 E and F model Hornets.

F-14 can swing its wings forward and back and is an older generation ac. It is also one of the few aircraft of its time not to be exported outside USA not even the NATO. F-15 is bigger and has many versions to suit various roles it is employed in. It has an excellent radar. Both these ac have 2 engines and 2 pilots.

Canadians invented the Arrow, which we gave to America and they re-named it the F-14.
Then we gave them all our best German scientists.
