Oh Yeah.

I have been fortunate enough to play alot of golf around the world.
The Old Course is still a fantastic place to play regardless of the time of year. You stand on the first tee and everytime you think wow all of these players that have played here. You stand on the Seventeenth and you need to imagine drawing that ball as close to the hotel fence as you can possibly go to leave yourself with that shot in over the bunker and stop on the green. to try for a birdie. And then the nice and simple eighteenth, tee it up and let it Rip, chp on and go for your birdie, you will always be rewarded with a polite clap from any golfers outside the student digs behind the green.

My Personal favourite on the Trust would be the Jubilee, It is the only course that i can not play under my handicap. !!!! i shall be shortly returning to try and conquer her !!!!

I did notice that someone else has mentioned a few othere courses in Fife - I can definatley recommend Ladybank and also Scotscraig, these are fantastic little gems that are a true test for any golfer, although som eof the higher handicaps may find it a struggle.

I am fortunate to have played many wonderful courses in GB, Wentworth, Sunningdale, Woburn and Birkdale to mention a few, however there is something about it that just lights up your insides up there.

For the price of 120.00 for a round some may say that it is expensive, however any serious golfer will relish the opportunity to tee it up round there.

Just remeber to duck when the planes fly over from leuchars !

Thanks for that .... i only have three weeks until i am up there. !!

St Andrews is the spiritual home and golf and those of us lucky enough to have walked the hallowed turf will all agree. Scotland has some of the best courses in the world and you are not charged a fortune to play on them

There are many other great courses in fife like ladybank, elie, lundin links to name a few. always worth checking out if you are in the area
