OK, so you arrive at a regular restaurant, regular time, lunch time, sit down, order drinks, read the menu, drink arrive, order taken..... then wait....... how long is a reasonable amount of time before you get pis'd off? I think that 20mins is reasonable 30mins is pushing it.

Basically, it was a 'Frankie & Benny's'. My husband and I went in on a Saturday lunchtime with our two children (1o+8yrs) at 12.05. There was only three other table occupied, so not too busy. This is my third and last experience of the chain, each time the food has been either late, cold, wrong, missing bits and then for the bill to be wrong (after having bits added which were supposed to be taken off after complaining the first time!) My experiences have been at different branches of the chain. Cheltenham, Dudley and Merry Hill.

i work in a restaurant and our rule is that if the table are having hot starters then aim for 15mins, however if the table are having cold starters then this time is reduced to 10mins. ask when you order what the waiting time is and then if the starters exceed that time you have every right to complain.

You were kept waiting too long. I have also experienced the same in Franky's and Benny's, and have voted with my feet - I won't be going there again. The food is expensive, for what it is, and often the waiting time for service and food has been out of synch with the number of people in the restaurant. The quality isn't in line with the prices charged - and they *always* play the music too loud!
Write to the head office, and make your complaint there, too! I'm not saying that you'll get much response, but the more letters are written, the more likely the company is to do something about customer satisfaction.
AFter 30 minutes, I would have walked out, not paid the bill, complained vociferously, and gone somewhere else.

Franky's and Benny's in Nottingham is no better. Waiting ages for really poor quality food and not very friendly staff. I agree starters should appear no more than 20 mins after ordering - you just get tooooo hungry and every time the kitchen door opens you think it's yours and it isn't.

To "Q & a guy": Your argument isn't very valid. while a woman has conceived a newborn, the toddler, of course, isn't in the present day totally grown. It starts off as a fetus with out all the actual structures which you will possibly see in a human. additionally, even while the youngster is born, it keeps to develop. the youngster even finally ends up with extra bones than it as quickly as had; specific purposes of an toddler's ideas get weaker as they become older too because of the fact they finally end up being out of date. As we develop, our cells continuously multiply inflicting us to get extra effective in length, so the theory that all of us began from a single celled organism isn't too far fetched. to no longer point out, numerous microorganisms that reason ailment evolve as our medicine gets extra progressed. that's all with regard to the organism adapting so as that that's in basic terms before the sport and insure the continuation of the species. EDIT: yet another element that I forgot to show is that our "layout" isn't even faultless. we are vulnerable to mutations and ailments. additionally some aspects of the physique are not fairly needed; there are some issues that our bodies won't be able to of course recover from besides. Now to the question: the only portion of the 'God concept' that looks actual looking is the "enable there be mild" element. perhaps this became in all risk the enormous bang. perhaps this universe became created by risk by ability of a few smart beings or some organic occurring phenomenon. possibly it will take place back. the assumption of an all-powerful being has in basic terms progressed with mankind over the years to describe what could no longer be defined. Even now as quickly as we can't clarify some thing we associate it with issues that we are already familiar with.

20 minutes max. After that complain. If you don't get satisfaction, leave and buy a sandwich! You must pay for what you've had though. Then follow it up with a letter.
It's not ok to be kept waiting. Ever.
