Does this show that in reality, islam (or mohommedanism as it should really be called as allah is really only mohommed by another name) is a dangerous and brutal regime in the making.

While your heart is in the right place, you spelling and facts are terrible. Mohammad and Allah are not the same, one is a pedophile, the other is god in Arabic. "Osama bin liner" is probably an apt description of someone who is only good for lining garbage cans though.

1- They don't help you destroy anyone on their land because that is a lame excuse that has been used to invade their lands for centuries, read a little about the land's history of invaders in modern ages and you'll see all the excuses were "helping" the people of the country by occupying them, so they really had enough external "help" and they now know better than to help anyone entering their land with arms and weapons under help excuses.
If they have a problem, they would rather take longer to solve it alone, than solve it with foreign help in a split second then spend ages getting rid of the other problems caused by this so called "help"!
2- The time of the caliphate was dark in Europe only but it was a time of prosperity and education for them, most Muslim scientists that set lots of basics that western scientists benefited from as well as the rest of the world, lived in those "dark ages"!
3- Allah means god in Arabic, there are many sects in Islam but NOT ONE of them claims that Mohammad is god! on the other hand, the picture most Muslims have about Christianity is that Christians think Jesus is god, so do you think they should call Christianity Jesusianism?

The argument could be put towards any religion because it is all going to depend on whats the flavour of the month at the time, and indeed in any particular country.
Its true to say that evil people only get to where they are by the fact that the good people do not stand up to fight them down - but that is in no way a justification to brand every 'group member' with the same brush.
You have evil persons following any religion......... and surviving because they hide themselves behind the good people and know how to do good PR. (for there particular audience).

Its probably also true to say that ALL wars are started under the auspices of one religion or another.

I can think of at least one other religion based in the middle east that also looks down on people outside of their own pack. And they are tolerated, but not others ?

Funny that you mention the dark ages...

While *christian* Europe was living in pig sh!t, the muslim world had libraries, scientists, and world trade. While the christians were hunting and killing jews across Europe, the muslim Turks protected jews and let them live safely for 900 years. While the Ottoman Empire spread information and stopped invading other countries, the Europeans invaded and killed off stable governments.

Iran was a democracy until 1953 when the US overthrew it. Saudi Arabia's brutal dictatorship suppresses its people for decades while profiting from the sale of oil as people starve. The US supports and arms Saddam Hussein for 20 years until he disobeys orders.

And you wonder why they hate the US. Islam *was* a peaceful religion until the US and Europe harassed, bombed, invaded and destroyed various countries.

And unlike christians, the muslims have long memories. *You* don't know anything before 9/11, while to the muslims, the Crusades were yesterday.

If you want to figure out what's ticking them off, watch something besides FAUX and CNNNNN "news" and read some books. Until 60 years ago, the muslims were never murderers or terrorists; they were writers and thinkers and had as many self-built democracies as the west ever did.

as muslims it is cumpolsory to treat every other religion and follower of other religions with respect and honor them as they would honor anyone else. it is just that through out time peoples views and interpretaions change they begin to take from the religion things that for example in times of war to kill your enemy as you would really do in a war however some people as you would call them extremists choose to manipulate these laws accordng to their own views that is why we have osama bin ladden and hizbollah. they choose to break the islamic law which strickly forbids any murder of innocent civillians regardless of religion or race . the noble quran says " if one kills an innocent he will have commited a sin which is as though he had killed the whole of mankind". there is another verse which claims any killer of the innocent wil abid in hell for eternity.

so you can not judge a whole religion based on the actions of a select few "extremists", it would be like judging christainity on the basis of what hitler did or judism on the basis of the development of atomic warefare. if you get my point, it is that every religion has good people which are usually a majority and ones which commit acts of evil against man. so dont be so judgemental towards any religion and even if you wish to critises any one do some thorogh and truthful research first before you jump to a conclusion.
in regards to why muslims are not standing up against extremists it is because they fear their own safety and to a certain extent have contaimnated minds, contaiminated by the extremist groups throgh their editing and manipulation of very trustful and peaceful techings.

I hope that this is a joke...otherwise you are being racist. They believe that we should live peacefully...they do not want to fight because as you probably know two wrongs do not make a right! If you really want to understand their beliefs then talk to someone who is a Muslim. Before you judge someone you have to understand them.

I don't believe that fighting someone who is an extremist is going to work because they believe there cause so strongly they will die for it...but then when our soldiers die in war people become angry. We can not win this war against terrorism if they are willing to die for their cause and our soldiers are not...we are fighting an ongoing battle.
