Luke 9:49-50 says, "John said to Jesus, 'Master, we saw someone using your name to cast out demons. We tried to stop him because he isn't in our group.' But Jesus said, 'Don't stop him! Anyone who is not against you is for you.'"

What I believe it means is that you don't need permission from some religious hierarchy to proclaim the name of Jesus. There's power in His name and Jesus wants us to use that power to do miracles for His glory. That's what's happenning here. The apostles want to stop the man who's casting out demons in Jesus name because he isn't "part of their group." But you don't need to be -- anyone can proclaim the gospel. Basically if someone isn't preaching for the Devil, then they're preaching for God.

This was because they were healing and casting out demons
The disciples were worried that they were doing the Lords work.
We are told we can move a mountain,we don't try or have the right type of faith, they were doing good works. Thus Jesus let us know if they are not against us they are with us.

Are you serious? well its kinda self explanitory, tho i suppose that still is a good question, i mean all i can really say is that if someone is for you then they are not against you, and there for if someone is not against you the they are for you. Okay so heres an example if you have a machine and you machine generates mnoney, if its working for you then its not working against you, therefore if its working against you then its working for you.. u see?

There are two (2) powers prevailing in this world. Good and evil that is of God and of the evil one so definitely if it's not of the evil one, then it's of God.
